I was at the dealer and was looking at the 2019 Raptors.

I noticed the vehicles were fully locked up but I was able to open the fuel door on the side. I was also able to push the little flap in. So, if I wanted to, I could pour anything I wanted into the fuel tank (or rather, some criminal could).

Fuel doors and gas caps have been securely locked on pretty much all cars since what, the 80s?

Why would Ford leave the fuel door open and unlocked for potential vandalism, especially in today's world?

Any thoughts?

I wonder if tampering with the fuel fill will trigger the shock sensor.

Ya, it would be nice to have a locking fuel door. Then some a$$hat would just stuff a couple cantaloupes in the tailpipe.

If they want to save money, how about not providing the stupid 1970s radio antenna that everyone has to remove/replace just so you can get into any garage without it smacking across the ceiling!

Yeah I don't get it. I've never owned a vehcile, or know of anyone owning a vehicle, where the fuel door wasn't locked or at least did not have a locking gas cap.

Pretty ridiculous.

Last I knew nobody made a locking gas cap for a 13th gen F150. They make them for 12th gens (2009-2014).
