Black is Beautiful, but oh what a pain to keep beautiful...
Was gonna say looks exactly like the water spots on mine...BUT...mine doesnt feel rough...just gets spotted ... best solution I've found is a good quality Gas Leaf Blower...a lot faster than micro fiber towels and always comes out perfect...no spots or swirls from rag...Now...if I dont have any gas for the leaf blower I just take the Raptor down the road @90mph for 5 minutes....way more fun than a Leaf Blower... ;)

looks like water spots....if you're washing by hand, try and do a better job wringing out the shammy, or shammy first then hit it with a clean towel. Nowadays, I just do the local Brown Bear car wash as doing the ******** takes three hours.

3 hours? Holy crap. I’m old and it’s been taking me a good 10 minutes lately. You must need a whole bottle of lube.

Thanks for the advice all

I use a foam cannon and large drying microfibers. These spots just appeared a few days after the wash. The surface of the car feels rough to the touch. Never seen anything like that.
If tree sap a hot wet towel works. Put in the micro wave oven for 2 minutes , soak them. usually will clean them and bugs right up

I whacked some trees (in the Sicilian way) to alleviate some of this problem, but when I would notice the tree sap it would be a few days there, and this method left me with more of a mess than anything else. It probably required more patience than I have. Heaven forbid the stuff dries or it’s way worse to remove.

So a word to the wise from the very unwise.

I bought 2 (because god forbid I run out of something) bottles of eraser, the kind to remove water spots. It's a gel, quite acidic apparently.

Where is the first place I tired it? 2 years ago we built a 23'x23' addition, new kitchen, media room. I put down 16"x16" 1/2 thick black granite tiles from India, not the chinese crap which are dyed.

One of my two puppies, a 130 lbs Dogue de Bordeaux (you remember *****, right?) is a drooler. His drool has actually burned spots in my floor in front of my sink. So instead of trying this gel in an inconspicuous spot, or perhaps on a tile from 7 extra boxes, I squirted it on the floor, four or five tiles, to remove just a few spots, and it lightened the floor after I left it on too long.

yes, I'm a dotard.

So be careful with that stuff. It can and will etch paint, glass, whatever it comes in contact with if left on too long.

I finally used it on my Raptor this week as near the Ford Performance school in Utah turned out I parked near sprinklers. Do you have any idea how hard that water is?

But this time I put it on, rubbed it in and immediately pressure washed it off.

Don't the people that work at the car wash get upset when you are whacking off in the car while they wash it?
