Is this tree sap?

Just washed my shadow black raptor a few days ago and now have these spots all over that look like tree sap maybe? Anyone know what this is? I’m not parked directly under a tree but there is a few nearby

do they wash off with light soap / water?
what about more aggressive cleaner like dish soap ( I know, I know )?

if the spots won’t come loose with traditional car soap, step it up to some ‘bug and tar’ remover first. if that doesn’t do it, you may need to get a little more aggressive in rubbing it out. I’ll defer to those more knowledgeable on cleaning them up properly at this stage.

i can tell you what happens when you don’t jump on this quickly though...
wet sanding. Tree sap will eat into the clear and really screw it up. So get this looked into sooner, rather than later.

50/50 water and white vinegar.

Make sure the area is as clean as possible. Spray the water vinegar mix and let set for a few seconds and wipe off.

Be careful as water is no lubricant and any smutz can cause some scratching.

Hopefully the low ph in the vinegar will dissolve whatever it is.

looks like water spots....if you're washing by hand, try and do a better job wringing out the shammy, or shammy first then hit it with a clean towel. Nowadays, I just do the local Brown Bear car wash as doing the ******** takes three hours.

Those are water spots.
You get those from allowing water droplets to dry. Washing a car in the sun can cause this or just simply not drying the car off quick enough.
There are a few remedies to remove them.

I use a foam cannon and large drying microfibers. These spots just appeared a few days after the wash. The surface of the car feels rough to the touch. Never seen anything like that.

Getting a 3 hour ******** at the brown bear....not sure I'd be into that.

that does sound like a lot of foreplay for a happy ending.

The wife gets pretty annoyed too...

Looks like water spots to me, I bet some sprinklers got ran on the truck and it was harder water. Especially if it's only one side of the truck.

The vinegar mixture might work, but after that I'd try a water spot remover product, if that doesn't work you'll probably need a light polish.

I'd probably try claying it before anything else, just to be sure it's not something bonded to the surface, other than water spots.
