Added my Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover and the Yakima Outpost HD to hold my soon arriving roof top tent.

Where'd you buy everything and what kind of RTT?? I have a roll n lock on my truck now but want to get rails to install racks/platform/RTT/whatever. Those bronze Venomrex wheels look fantastic with the blue!!

I ordered the outpost and tonneau through etrailer.com who I’ve dealt with before and really hard to beat their customer service. I went with a CVT RTT. I researched for about a month and it came down to CVT, Tepui and iKamper. Here’s my thought on each:

Tepui - great name, great product but when compared to the CVT, not as much quality for the dollar. When I called, I was not really impressed with the customer service aspect.

iKamper - very good product, great innovation but could not justify the price to save 4 minutes worth of setup time. In addition, no customer service phone support as it is a Korean company. I also buy USA made where I can and that was a factor for me.

CVT - years in the industry, great product, great company, absolutely wonderful customer service. I saw a YouTube video of a guy that was camping on the Idaho/Montana birder with a leaking tent. The owner of CVT loaded up a new tent and took the four hour drive to replace the tent. He also installed an awning for the inconvenience. You just can’t beat that level of care. The product has extremely good reviews and support.

Thank you for the wheels comment, I think so too. Right now I am trying to decide if I want to install a roof rack to mount an awning or just pack an easy up for awning use. Definitely love the RTT plan as opposed to a camper because I can still pull a trailer with ATV’s or a boat.

Disconnected my remote tailgate switch mod. More than once, I've left the switch forward and found the tailgate down when I didn't want it. I'll reconnect it if I can figure out a good place to put in a push button switch rather then the toggles in the upfitter. It was a good mod; but it seems that I forget too often that the switch has to be flicked on and off and just left it on.

Speaking of that - with all the neat tech we have - why can't Ford put in a tailgate up/down indicator? Anyone ever make one?

That would be easy just need a contact switch a power source and a pilot light

I just use the button on my key fob, easy enough and it’s always with me.
