So which spring is better for off road with some weight in the back, Deaver or Icon? Let’s say you’ve got 600 pounds in the bed...

Both will do well for off roading and for additional weight. However, if you're going to be carrying that much weight the majority of the time, the three user adjustable Icon rear spring is a great choice. These really seem to do well with consistent heavy loads.

We've got the Icons marked down and are including free shipping.

What about the issues posted with the icons above. If purchased from you and there are issues would you help resolve them?

No matter what the part is, we always do what we can to remedy the situation should an issue arise.

While I agree that the OP has made it clear that he's had problems with the Icons, isn't it possible that someone somewhere has had a very similar situation with the Deavers? Perhaps there's a thread about it? Or, maybe that person isn't on any sort of forum, and we'll never hear from them...

Don't get me wrong, I "have no dog in this fight", and I'm still trying to decide between Icons and Deavers myself! :)

You really can’t go wrong with either brand. If going with Deavers, get HD for that weight.

Granted I have a GEN1 with the ICON RXT System. The leaf springs with the kit has worked great for me. Been running it for 3 years. I have the extra leaf added for the max setting. It actually works best with weight in the bed and rides really good when off-roading as you need that weight to keep the rear planted. And empty bed gets somewhat bouncy.

After 2 years of use, I did have one leaf break, the smallest one that sits on the axle pad. I contacted ICON about it and thought they would just send me one replacement leaf and two new center bolts to fix it. Nope they shipped me a full complete set free of charge. What a complete shock that they went above and beyond in customer service. I am glad they did because the eyelet was broken too as we didn’t notice it until we took it off. Thank goodness for their triple military front eyelet wrap, definitely a safety feature.

I haven’t noticed any squeaking but I did coat mine with 4 coats of AMSOIL HDMP and re-coat before each winter. Even if it did squeak, could care less if it performs, which it does.

For folks who purchased ICON, Deaver or any brand for that matter, go back to who you purchased it from and hopefully from a FRF sponsor vendor that can help on your behalf. Let them deal with the manufacture and get results instead of you taking your time out of the day. Granted if you shopped for the lowest price out there, your support with that vendor might vary and sometimes isn't the best when it comes to the more expensive suspension options, so buyer beware and don't be cheap.

Here is a tidbit that helps most of the time with ICON when you call. Don't go to the customer service option, go to tech support. Usually Adrian answers and has the authority to make things happen when it comes to replacing defective parts.

Thanks. I’ve figured out that there are a fair number of numbskulls on here, but I’m trying to follow you and a couple other guys that it’s pretty clear you know what you’re doing. Second time one of you has recommended Icon to me...

I was within a keystroke of falling into that stupid Gen2 shock swap at one point. Man you have to watch out or you’ll be flying money like an nba player and have nothing worth s*** to show for it.
