My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

Had the same issue today out in the desert today. Looks like my dealer didn't do anything to fix it. I was pissed to drive 2 hours then not be able to use my truck! http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5d09bc088770c/20190618_072549.mp4

It is such an annoying failure. If the speed sensors are such a critical input for all these systems they really need to make them more reliable.

Funny thing is, my dealer won't replace the speed sensor, they claim it's the transmission harness... really when there is documented evidence of the speed sensor. I told them I would pay for 17 dollar part!

All well, Lemon Law here I come, seriously these guys are pretty bad , referring to my dealership, so I will have to wait and see. Day 3 of them having my truck again this week.

My truck has been at their shop almost as much time as I have owned it

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

My truck is still in the shop for this. I’ve had it back all of 2 days so far this month.

It literally takes 5 mins to replace each one. Why not just replace them all and solve your own problem?

On my truck they keep saying it’s not the speed sensors. They’ve updated all the software computer modules and said it was a software issue causing the communications bus to overfill causing the errors. After that update the error happens every time I drive instead of once ever 2-4 weeks.

I’m starting to think the module controlling the com bus has bad memory or something.

I don't disagree with you, but for the amount I paid and the documented issue, they should just repair it. They claimed the issue was resolved with an update...

Picked up the truck today and again all the faults came back. They’ve replaced connector harnesses and other stuff and still haven’t fixed it. They are now talking about larger scale electrical system replacement.

I’ve reached out to Ford to see if there’s anything from the corporate service side that can be escalated but haven’t received any response.

I’ve been dealing with this since at least February. In the last couple months I haven’t been able to drive the thing more than 10 miles without these errors. Then I have to pull over, turn the vehicle off for a few minutes then restart and drive again.

At this point I may just go trade this thing in for something more reliable once they fix it.
