Story time....

An electrical inspector dropped by my house the other day to take a look at a new addition to my home .

When I met him outside he said “nice truck” and I said “thanks”. He went on to say he recently bought a new Ram Rebel....I immediately thought to myself “here we go”.....

In a surprising move he said “but, it’s no Raptor, those are awesome”. Almost speechless, I just nodded. He said that he had a lift put on and paid more for upgraded FOX shocks and again said “but it’s no Raptor”.

This was not how I expected the dialog an owner of a Rebel or AT4 to go. Most of them I read online or meet try to suggest their trucks are in the same league.

Have faith, there are a still few honest folks out there.

I find myself strangely feeling sorry for that inspector. Knowing a Raptor was his dream truck and he is stuck in a Ram albeit with nice shocks. I can't afford a new Raptor but I bought a nice 2012. I would rather have a older Raptor than a newer Ram.

LOL..I've owned mine since Jan,2019 and get a thumbs up from 95% who see it...Dodge Chargers,Hellcat,Mustang GT,Corvettes to name a few...the other 5% are either driving a Prius or an old VW Camper.....Even got a thumbs up and a walk around from a guy who parked next to me in a brand new Ducati...my first Motorcycle thumbs up... :) Seems the Raptor is loved by most.

I honestly really like the new Ram. Is it a raptor?...no but they sure are nice trucks to drive. I don’t really understand all the hate for them on this forum.

I agree especially the interior is nice on the current Ram. The main problem Ram has is it's V8 being underpowered IMO.

My Bro-In-Law has a Ram Rebel, but diesel. I think the interior is actually nicer then the Raptor.

But he bought his specifically to meet his towing requirements, and admits his off roading is a 1/4 gravel drive to his boat house.
