768FBB8B-E8E6-48FB-810A-E5CF3DB74D7D.jpeg I just got back from taking a short round trip (from Miami, FL to Los Angeles, CA). I loaded up the truck bed with personal items, books and some small furniture. On top of that a full sized mattress and box spring. With a one way U-Haul car dolly a 2013 Fiat full of clothes and additional items. I averaged 13.5 mpg. Stayed between 55/65 mph. I hated that Bc the desert I10 runs were legal 80mph speed limits! On the way back parallel route further up route 66/I40 mostly, fluctuated between 13 to 16 mpg determined and limited to the elevation and if I was climbing or going down mountains. All this on full stock truck and original plugs/wires and a basic SCT BDX tune!

After owning my 12 screw for 7 years as original owner as stock w/ MBRP cat back with an ARE topper I was getting around 11.8- 13.5 pretty heavy footed highway/city. When I towed my 7X12 enclosed v-nose (5' height interior for aerodynamics) I was around 10-11 at 75-80mph; I added S&B CAI and the 5star 91 performance tune this a couple of weeks ago and have put about 600 miles on it. I gained 2-3 mpg already with massive performance gain. Wish I would have done it from day one as the truck is way more aggressive and responsive coupled with better fuel economy. I haven't messed with the other tunes I have as yet.... but I am looking at doing the BBK throttle body upgrade and calling it good. Highly recommend the mods as not only gaining a massively different driving /sound/experience....but added perk of better fuel economy.

My 2 cents
Very interesting! Mite have to go that route....

I am miraculously averaging around 17mpg. Sitting at 17.1 since tune. I have almost a straight shot at about 20 miles one way for work all highway. I now have a Cobb tune and CAI. Stage 1 with 93 octane always. Gen 2. My overall economy has decreased a little. Probably due to more spirited driving. Currently at about 7500 miles.

How much did it cost to get a 6.2 in your gen 2?

My new to me 14 Screw gets 14.5(hand calc) mpg with a 80/20 hwy/city split.
and that's cruising at 80mph.

Still on KO's, but it blows away my first Raptor which got maybe 13.1 mpg.

DGAF about saving gas but found it curious.
