or can you? Is it cost prohibitive? Too much tech involved? Why can’t you do what many vehicles come from factory with? Auto shutoff ?

Well I'm no expert so I'll ask my wife why it's difficult...

she says the problem is the center console shifter and getting over it. That and the fact that the steering wheel gets in the way. She said it's safer to be parked.

Ok, ok, mercy rule. I guess the altitude here in Utah, the rented romp in RZRs, a freezing swim in Oorah Lake, the upcoming slot canyons in AZ, then the piece de resistance, Raptor Assault, and worst of all, waiting on John of Impulse Off-road to get back to me whether he can install that light bar while my wife waits with my Raptor and I’m at Assault, has scrambled my brain.

I meant BD, as in Baja Design.

But the above replies have me choking with laughter. Love u guys.

So my Raptor, Porsche, and my wife’s Lexus all have auto high beams, where when they “see” either taillights or oncoming headlights, they turn off and revert to the regular low beams.

I fully understand we are dealing with off road lighting, but I’m also certain a very high percentage of owners, me included, use them on road when conditions permit. We drove from NY to Moab, where we are now, from 9/10 to 9/15 with multiple stops, and there were many times i70W had no cars coming east or in front of us and I lit up the road. I keep my hand on the 3 upfitter switches so at sight of any approaching vehicle I can instantly turn them off. I don’t like to be blinded by incoming lights and would not do it to others.

So why not an electric eye built in to auto shut them off like my cars come with?

Oh, and I had a fleshlight once but it’s too hard to keep clean so I dumped it. Lol.
