Well because the dealership i bought it from isn’t helping. I’ve got an $80,000 truck that has major problems. Wouldn’t you ask for help??? Ford needs to get involved with a safety issue let alone the other problems I’m having with this truck. I’ve owned F150s for 20 years. Hope you never have MAJOR problems with your truck.

It’s hard to believe you paid $80,000 for a 2018.

Agree.......contact Ford corporate as well.
Totally agree...years ago I had a Cadillac that was a Lemon...got NO WHERE with the dealer.....but after contacting Corp. and meeting with a rep. I got a brand new engine....! And sold it right away before anything else could go wrong with it.!
I'm finding Dealerships are alot like our "Medical Insurance" companies now....its all BOTTOM DOLLAR...F*#&@ the consumer...run them around and make them jump thru hoops, until they give up...!! DONT GIVE UP...make their life miserable like they are making yours..!!

Make an appointment for a safety and emissions test at a Ford dealer of your choice. Will cost you $20 bucks. When it fails the emission test, tell them to fix it under warranty. Pretty simple.

as far as the other stuff goes.....a pretty simple google search tells you how to lemon law a vehicle in Virginia.

https://www.theconsumerlawgroup.com/faqs/what-is-the-virginia-lemon-law-and-how-does-it-work.cfm

1. If the same "significant" problem is worked on 3 times (i.e. you have three repair orders) and the problem still exists after that, then it's a lemon. Or,

2. If you have a life-threatening defect that affects the drive-ability of the vehicle, and it still exists after one repair attempt, then you have a lemon. Or,

3. If the vehicle has been in the shop 30 or more calender days for ANY problem or defect, and there is still something legitimately wrong with the car, then it's a lemon.

This is where as stated above, you must take very detailed notes on all times you have been to the shop and the outcome. Just give the stack of paper work to a lawyer.....YES, you need to lawyer up......but you will get a new truck in no time.
