Saw that... I think it's a good business move. Maybe they can take the Rivian guts and put a decent looking truck on it...

Since Amazon has invested $700 million in Rivian, Ford and Amazon are now in bed together.
I don't view that development favorably.

If that’s the “Rivian” in the backround of the video that thing is hideous. I saw a model x Tesla the other day and the rear doors flipped up like a delorean.. but past that I couldn’t see where it was worth the 80k base price. Idk about all this new electric technology.

I've been very interested in the Rivian truck since they revealed it last year. The looks still have to grow on me, but the capabilities they are touting are very impressive. Ridiculous acceleration, great range, high-quality materials, etc. I love my Raptor, but electric vehicles are the future.

I hear you and same here the looks are not impressive at all to me. If they get that sorted out I may give it a second look. Until then I will keep my 6.2 lol

I have a Tesla model 3. It's amazing. I would love this performace in a truck.

I’ve ridden in a Model S with the ludicrous package. Yes it was fast and had instant speed but it’s definitely not for me. No sound and too much technology and im in my mid 30s. A lot of money for not a lot of looks especially with that Rivian. More power to those that can afford and want that quiet speed.

In reminds of the Ridgeline, sort of a truck for people who've never really had a truck before. I would bet people would be able to get over the lack of noise, but other things you traditional get with a truck would be missed. It does not look rugged at all, and there won't be much ways to mod it, improve it, make it yours the way truck, and Jeep, enthusiast will want to do. Couldn't they have designed it so that existing after market cosmetic products would fit? Either they don't know their market, or the expect to build a market out of people who don't currently own a truck.
