No, the 41 lbs is the total delta add in weight for all parts (rotors, calipers, etc) for the Alcon breaks that replaces the OEM brakes.

I spoke to Chris there for several hours about my truck before purchasing. He was awesome and took probably 3-4 hours patiently walking through every question I had - answered on weekends, evenings, etc... (At $5k+ for a brake system, I had questions lol). He knows his stuff.... So I wouldn't say "merely a dealer" as this doesn't do justice to my experience.

I love what you guys do for the community - Alconkits also deserves a shout out for incredible knowledge and support.

41 lbs of extra unsprung weight lol…no thanks.

My thread is around here somewhere. Doing just the fronts added about 4lbs per side IIRC. And it was DAMN sure worth it over the pathetic OE system.

Just get lighter wheels to compensate. The brakes are one of the best improvements you can make to the truck IMO

Also, it is 4lbs, not 41. About 2 pounds more per side. Basically a wash.

The stock brakes are pretty damn heavy, as others have said. The weight difference isn't much compared to the performance improvement.

Whan I got my kit there was no doubt a moment of "Holy hell this is heavy". But @Zeusmotorworks thread clears up the weight difference AND once you get stock brakes off you will see they are heavy as well.
