Thanks for all the comments, I will follow up.

Again I can't say this enough, the issue is the price does not meet expectations. The gen 1 was great for the price, expectation met. If the gen 2 cost 65k I would be happy. In Canada most people pay near 100k for this same optioned truck, I paid 93k tax in. I understand people are brand sensitive so I knew people would be offended. I am not brand loyal so I have no skin in the game. There are certain things I expect at a certain price point. I don't expect a decent stereo in a base work truck, 93k, yeah I do...

I will work to resolve these issues or sell the truck. I have owned a lot of vehicles. I don't care what people think about what I drive, a lot of people will pay extra for the attention of owning a Raptor, I am not that guy. I never buy the first year model for a reason, I wait for the bugs to get worked out, most guys cant wait because they want bragging rights. I get how some folks love the attention, I am just being realistic in saying its not all that !!

Yeah in the end do what makes you happy. If the raptor doesn't then sell it and find something that does. Hopefully you wont loose much money either!

My thoughts exactly. Assuming you started driving at 16 and are now 66, that’s 4 to 6 cars PER YEAR...EVERY YEAR...for your entire lifetime...

I agree, I apologize. I should have qualified that. I have have owned over 100 automobiles, the rest were motorcycles, boats, atv's etc. I flip vehicles on the side (as a hobby) so some I have only owned for a few hours or weeks.

Ditto. I presently have a 911 Turbo, a GT-R and a similar history as above and my $70k AG Raptor is the best money I have spent—I have had my big brick sofa two years now and drive the heck out of it ON & OFF road and it’s awesome. I can drag my dirt bikes wherever I need and this thing is so comfortable and capable I will always have one. My wife, who won’t even get in any of my other cars, steals my truck all the time I set the guise of getting dirt/flowers for the yard. Whenever they do anything substantial to the Raptor, I will def get another.

Great taste my friend

Get the Ram if that's what you want. I have a 19 with the 801A package. I think this is an awesome truck. For what it is its faster than any other truck stock. Definitely faster than a Ram. I am happy with performance and want to put a couple more miles before I tune. I have the base radio but will be changing door speakers and adding a sub.

Keep in mind that the Dodge has horrible resale. You pay $60k now and in 2 years it's worth half. The Raptor is expensive but holds its value well. I got mine brand new for $59k before taxes.

I agree it may not be as fast as some other Vehicles but it's a brick on wheels. Like the guy said, it may not be faster than a supercharged Range Rover, but the RR will not hold its value like the Raptor will and will be in service for more than just oil changes. I didnt buy for resale but its good to know the value is there if I decide to sell.

I drove a new 19 Ram before purchasing the Raptor. I liked it a lot. It rode great and had a fabulous interior with the most comfortable seats of any truck I have been in. But it was clearly under powered for my needs and this was with a test drive at 1000 feet of altitude. I live at 8000 feet so power on the NA Hemi would be down even further, about 20% down. It was about $25k cheaper too. But it lacked the attitude and sense of occasion the Raptor has as well as the interior room. Plus the Ram's poorer resale value means that in 5 years when I trade trucks I will get half or more of the $25k difference back in trade value.

And with respect, you need to stop quoting what it cost in Canadian dollars. Canada’s money is worth shit. Been that way for a while. Everything up there is expensive in comparison.

Even with the exchange rate, when driving my 911 to Nova Scotia last year everything was so damn pricey. That has zero bearing on the truck.

And you are not alone in your feelings. There are quite a few vids on YouTube with people who owned a Raptor and didn’t feel it within a year or so. Cars, like money are fungible. Don’t sweat it. Sell, trade, or burn it and get something else. Gunner did.

I do hear you, HOWEVER I've been building desert trucks or building them up from bone street stock type off road trucks for over 20 yrs, and as someone already stated if you bought a brand new F-150 Lariat and decided to build it up to exact Raptor capabilities and amenities. you would be more then the Raptor....BUTT you can talk to others that went that route that spent less, but still not 100% Raptor'd
again if you're not using the truck as designed then the extras won't mean much to you or worth the cost...

I really hope it all works out for you :)

uh...yeah about the radio....you're correct.. Ford could have done better...I'm not an audio guy so it works fine for my but I do hear from other vehicle owner that there are better systems then ours..
