Folks telling you to take your raptor on hells revenge must want to see your truck with damage
I've taken my truck on Hell's revenge, the entire trail, 2 times without any damage. The worst part isn't the slick rock its coming out at the end of the trail, there are some sketchy spots. Obviously bypassed escalator, but did tipover challenge ect.

If you like camping and wilderness, I'd recommend the previously mentioned White Rim Trail. Good mix of not too ridiculous terrain -- some rock crawling, some sand blasting, some trail ripping. All of this takes place in front of a backdrop of some of the most breathtaking views you can find on Earth.

Go for two days and camp halfway if you want to cruise or spend a lot of time getting out and exploring. The ranger station will be adamant that you do not attempt the trail in one day, but don't let that fool you. They recommend 12 hours. I've done it in 6 with numerous photo stops, hikes, and a lengthy lunch. If you're in it purely for the driving, one day is completely manageable.

Well, we visited Moab, Arches Ntl Pk, Canyonlands Ntl Pk, Capitol Reef Ntl Pk, Bryce Canyon Ntl Pk, and Zion Ntl Pk., and drove back home through Arizona,
and the Navajo Nation before hitting New Mexico and TX.....and I must say, the entire state was gorgeous! Everywhere we drove there was much to see.

We went through several trails while in Moab and Arches Ntl Park that were challenging, but the Raptor handled it like a champ!Around Moab, the Raptor did GREAT, with no damage I've seen except a small scrape(about 1/4 long) on the rear fender and some rubs under the MBRP exhaust tips. First off let me say the tips didn't rub too hard, but when tested, they didn't warp or crunch down a single bit.

Day 1 - Potash Rd to Shafer Canyon Road into Canyonlands up to the top of the canyon rim VERY scenic and alot of pics taken - EASY with very minor crawling through the gate into Canyonlands

Day 2 - Gemini Bridges, Goldbar Spike Spider, Four Arches, and Crips Hole Trails - FUN! Went about a couple miles on Gold Bar Spike Spider before turning back to avoid damage. Nearing the last 2 miles on West end of Gemini Bridges, put it in Baja mode and let 'er rip!!! We then proceeded to Arches Ntl Pk just to do the touristy on-road tour from 3-8:30pm. Even did the foot hike up to the Delicate Arch...2 miles uphill...

Day 3 - Whitewater rafting on the Colorado 1/2 day, then Arches Natl Pk again - Drove the road straight to the Devlis Garden which we hadn't seen yet, then hit the OHV trails - Salt Creek trail to Klondike Bluffs trail to see Tower Arch, then came around to Herdina Park trail that came back to the main road about 4 hours and 20+ miles later. Tight in places, but you can do it! Medium skill necessary to avoid damage....and spotters on both sides to hold back branches while you pass....(not going to say a machete, because that will land you in hot water if caught). The wife got to do some easy rockcrawling and LOVED IT! She's hooked!

Day 4-7 - was on road or by foot, hiking the other parks! Too much to see and not enough time to go on all the trails we wanted, but that gave us an excuse to say we'll be going back to Utah, to explore further when the kids are both in their teens.

and yes, I saw this and had to get it! Been waiting way too many years to get to Moab. Glad I got to have a ton of fun doing the trip with the family! The Shadow did well and brought us home in 1 piece! Best ride out of any of the trucks I've ever had, both on and off the road. Way better than any of my previous tricked out rigs! Over 3,000 miles of comfortable driving!

Awesome! My turn to be out there in a few short days. Any concerns on fuel running close to empty while on trails?

Great trip. I love the trail to Tower Arch and then south to balancing rock. I get the Hemi Jeep to redline in some of the sand areas.

Fuel should never be a problem in Moab. Leave with a full tank and you will not have a problem.

Great pictures!

You will have plenty of fuel for at least a couple days in a Gen 2....no problem at all.....and have fun!

It amazed me how few Raptors I saw on the trip. I usually see 3-5 a day in Houston. I saw 6-8 the whole round trip.....surprised. I saw dozens of freaking Subarus every day!

I am very familiar with the area, and there is no place like that to my knowledge. It is not like Arizona. Most of the trails are on BLM land or Utah School Trust land or the National Park land and I think they all prohibit the shooting of guns.
