So I am closing this project out in my book as a total success. While the total cost (with new parts) is $1140, it does prove 100% that anyone who said that it couldn't be done was wrong. If you want the factory ambient lighting, that works on the touchscreen and is 100% factory correct, it can be done.... And it looks really great!

Now on to Rain-Sensing wipers, Rear Heated Seats and Power extending trailer-towing mirrors.
i forgot about this thread. i have rear heated seats. if you are interested and want some info pm me your number and i can send you some pics

Just about to launch into this mod but with Sync 3. I've located most of the parts and already flipped the bit in the APIM to turn ambient lighting on, hopefully it will be a breeze

After I programmed the HVAC module with the correct coding from the 2014 Platinum the ambient lighting defaulted to the "Ice Blue" to match all the interior lighting.

Hey SVT, do you happen to still have a copy of the HVAC settings?

Install all done but fighting the HVAC module, it all works HVAC wise but is throwing a U2100 code (initial setup not complete) even after I flashed in my ASBUILT using Forscan. I think more programming than Forscan can do may be required. Ambient lighting works but the colors do not align with the selection made in the APIM and there are not the correct number of choices. In parallel to working with Forscan support I have sourced another (this time used) HVAC unit, in an attempt to bypass that programming step that Forscan can't do

Ended up picking up a used HVAC unit from a Platinum. Uploaded my original stock asbuilt to it ad all works as it should. Still not heard back from Forscan, but it seems that either my brand new unit was bad (unlikely) or there is a software update needed to the new unit before the asbuilt is loaded in. Whatever it is the Ford IDS can do it, Forscan cannot. another reason to buy used parts over new for this mod

Doing this right now. Stealing the parts from my 13 Limited. What software recoding needs done? I'll be taking the HVAC module from the 13 Limited along with the entire complete center console, harness, trim panels, etc.

I was able to get the full interior swapped over between my 13 Limited and my 13 Raptor. It's been a ton of work between the two trucks to get the wiring and harnesses I need. I ended up stealing the connectors and pigtails from the Limited to build my harness from the HVAC module. For the console I had to split both harnesses and build one so I had all the correct plugs. I've got the coding done on the APIM so I have the ambient lighting option now, but just need to finish the install and test it. Hopefully all should be good! It's been a Hell of a task.
