I like the looks of the front better than the back, and I liked the way it looks in white. Glad that GM finally pulled their head out of their ass and offer a DCT, and like that they kept the V8. Guessing the three pedal is dead. Wish it had a plane crank like the C8R. The seat options look interesting. LOL @ the Porsche-like seat belt color options. Don't like the parts bin ipad on the dash, unsure what I think of the interior aesthetic. Given the car's objective, I'd prefer a more aggressive diffuser + high exit center exhaust to the rear storage area... but I'm probably in the minority.

Overall, I think it's very promising. Need to see one in person and drive one before I'll pass judgment. Interested to see what the Z06-like variant brings.

I like it. Looks like a corvette but a midengine one. Not a fake ferrari or something. Performance should be world class. And at least base model seems like it will be a bargain.

I think they did a good job with the exterior look. Taillights are still not the best, but way better than last time.

Very impressive. The V8/DCT drivetrain looks like a winner and they really stepped it up on the interior. 0-60 in under 3 seconds on a base model that starts at $60k is pretty amazing. Price only went up by $4k, everyone was expecting more. They will sell like ice cream on a scorching hot summer day if the economy stays healthy.

Keep in mind that the base price really didn't even go up $4k, because the base price of the other one was with manual and you had to pay an additional $2k for the 8 speed automatic transmission. I am sure this Tremec DCT is going to be lightyears better than the Chevy 8 speed shitbox and well worth the additional money, not to mention all the other improvements. Still unreal how much car it is for the money...

I also think the C8 will be the last platform to use a V8 drivetrain. GM will probably milk this generation for 6-8 years before the C9 reveal. The C9 will most likely be an AWD, all electric platform keeping the same exotic car looks. Get your V8 Corvette while you can.

Curious how many C8 orders were placed online through GM’s website.

I think I like every angle I've seen but this one. It looks like a C7 front with an afterthought of a rear. If the top of the door was wider and played into the vent it would be more aesthetically pleasing IMO. I'm sure it will be a killer of many exotics though. After seeing the Z06 beat the GT at Willow Springs I can only imagine what they're capable with this platform. And MSRP under 60k is a nice touch (pre mark up of course)

I think the false narrative regarding electric vehicles being "green" will start to die out during Trump's 2nd term just as the BS tax credits for them die out too. UNTIL THE GRID IS GREEN E-VEHICLES ARE NOT GREEN - also - until you can charge one in 10 mins or less @ a "charging station" (gee - soooo many of those around too eh, 18 million vehicles sold a year if they're ALL electric where they getting charged?) or until the power grid is significantly overhauled & we can legitimately say the vast majority of power is coming from truly green sources (which @ this point is really only solar, those wind turbines are horseshit also from an efficiency standpoint + they mess w/ the environment, the only green hydro power of significance has mostly all been accounted for - only way we make more is by flooding plains & forests thereby destroying the flora/fauna, disrupting the environment, & then actually creating more greenhouse gases in the form of methane as the dead plant matter decays after being flooded)

Thank the CAFE regulation era, questionable green initiatives/motives that are tied to political incentives, the media pushing the false narrative, & Elon Musk lol (actually no problem w/ him - he's just a capitalist & inventor - his solar tiles should have come FIRST - that's a way to make the grid greener)

E-vehicles in terms of how they relate to the grid? One of the most classic cases of "Putting the cart before the horse" if I ever seen one. Hybrids w/ regenerative braking.....thats where its at

No fan of Corvettes, but I have no doubt the C8 will hand a serious ass kicking to anything that doesn't cost at least twice as much.

correction - it will (and already does) hand serious ass whoopings to all kinds of vehicles that cost twice as much. A $120 C8 Z06 variant (guessing on the price) will probably eat porsche turbos for breakfast & shit out little stuttgart bricks
