Sure, I guess it would. If you are in the habit of rolling vehicles, a ratchet strap between the seat belt floor connections through a D ring in the middle of the seats will keep the seats down. lol

one loose something from that collection of stuff under the seat and you could kill yourself or someone else. I've seen loose change break a window.

Yeah, rollover is a fairly traumatic event, but possible on the street. I know it seems unlikely but to paraphrase the biker community - prep for the crash, not the ride.

Even aggressive offroading can send stuff flying in the cab.

OK, I'll ratchet strap my change down as well.

Hey man, don't take it seriously, if that is your prerogative.

I take my queues from folks that have logged legitimately tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of hours prerunning and desert racing.

I also speak from experience and have seen folks seriously injured from flying objects in the cabin. When it happens 100 miles from nowhere, and could have been avoided with some care, you tend to be overly cautious moving forward.

don't haunt me when you win a darwin award though.

I’m about to start building my rear tire carrier/storage system. Looking to hold dual spares behind the rear axle spaced out as far as possible to keep the center open. Like the picture added.

Surprisingly there aren’t very many bolt-on options for these. Seems to be mostly custom applications. I would love to countersink the tires into the bed like zombiekiller’s setup but can’t seem to slice up a perfectly good bed.

Any idea who made this rack?

Didn’t mean to poke the bees nest about your storage option. I was purely stating that an accident is just that “an accident.” I’ve always lived my life on this saying “Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.”

Do what you want, but if you take anything from that just think about what could happen, I’d hate to see your pocket change take an eye out! Lol

RoyCfus- the rear bedcage is made by forged-offroad. They also make an identical one for the gen2 raptor. A buddy of mine toured their shop and had reall good things to say about them.

I have a similar rack. I noticed you added a MTB mount on the empty side. Does your bike have disc brakes? I am wanting to do the same but I have read that people are having trouble mounting the bike with the disc brakes. Would be able to send me a couple pictures of how it looks when the bike is mounted.

Let me know thanks.

Modern racks should not interfere with rotors. I recommend one up racks, they are the best!!
