Do you folks have recommendations for a good mechanic in Seattle area?

I got a EVAP small leak code and I took my 2014 to the dealer (out of warranty miles, extended warranty does not cover this sensor) and it turns out to be the CPV.

To my surprise, they want 250$ for the diagnostic (they say they did multipoint inspection and what not, unfortunately I have to pay that I think since they have already done it) and another 250$ for the fix. Spark plugs - 600$ break and coolant flush - 400$

Just ridiculous (Now correct me if the rates are reasonable; my previous vehicle was a Jeep TJ which was way cheaper to maintain). So I am going to take the truck from the dealer tomorrow. $250 lost but lesson learned! I can change the CPV myself, but want a trust worthy mechanic should I feel lazy about doing future maintenance myself.

Thanks!

Hey Don, just saw this post. Basically, everything on a Raptor is expensive. I paid to get my spark plugs changed out too. There's info on here about doing it yourself, but be careful, it's not like changing out the plugs on an old 351 or something...

Surprisingly, there are a lot of things you can DIY on a Raptor. This forum is a good place to get that info. Sorry you got whacked at the dealer. I make them tell me everything up front and then I agree to it or not. There is some stuff you can't do.

Thanks Jonny.

Its not that I don't want to pay for repairs and what not. I would have happily given 400$ for a spark plug change. (Maybe I need to re-adjust my expectations) Just hate it when its just too much of a rip off. :)
For another example, my mirror glass fell off (the plastic bracket that holds the mirror glass onto the motor broke during some heavy trail riding) and I called a local shop; and they were trying to convince me how this is very very common and replacing the entire mirror is the only reliable solution here. I am waiting on my OEM replacement, but meantime a 20$ mirror from amazon worked well for me!

But yeah, I am learning that everything on a Raptor is pretty expensive.. :D
I will be a bit more cautious the next time around.

I'm in Seattle area and if you find a reputable shop I'm all ears. I do my own maintenance but it would be nice to have someone to call in an emergency that's trusted and knows our trucks.
