Fox says the 3.0 shocks fit the Gen1. What’s the issue with putting them on?

Wait a sec, Fox is saying that Ford OEM 3.0 raptor shocks from the 2017-2019 fits on the 2010-2014 Ford Raptor? Hell if they did, you didn’t ask the question correctly and YOU are confused.

Fox makes 3.0’s for our GEN1’s that are either adjustable or static. These are considered aftermarket because they are an upgrade over the stock GEN1 shocks. That is probably what they think you asked.

Fox also makes a 3.0 replacement upgrades for the GEN2 that are adjustable with remote reservoirs for extra cooling.

Both those Fox upgrades are COMPLETELY different part numbers for either GEN1 or GEN2 but not interchangeable. And the stock GEN2 shocks are yet a completely different part that Fox does not sell

And this is why I come here. I drive trucks and fix people; my mechanical knowledge extends to where to put the gas and window washer fluid.

Basically there are 2 possibilities based on what you have stated.

1. Ford puts 17+ 3.0s in your truck. This is never going to happen. They are different spec, size etc to the 14- shocks and are totally untested by Ford.

2. Ford puts aftermarket Fox 3.0s in your truck. This is never going to happen. Why would ford put a set of shocks in your truck which are not part of any ford line? This reminds me of the guy who tried to sue my dad for the cost of an in ground pool ($100k) because he wasn't happy with his above ground pool ($3k).

Forget that nonsense.... either:

1. wait for some stock 14- shocks on Ford's dime
2. get them rebuilt on your dime or
3. upgrade them at your expense.

If "1", feel free to get a lawyer to write a letter to help speed them up.

It's ****** and unacceptable that Ford does not have stock when people are still under warranty but they are not going to write you a magic check for another ending.
