I just can't handle the way they sound. It reminds me of a rice burner's exhaust.

This is a tired argument and it’s getting pretty old. The performance of gen 2 is greater than the performance of the gen 1, end of story.

The gen 1 is louder, big deal. I have seen a ton of big mouth guys make asses of them themselves, while the quiet guys/or guys with annoying voices kick their asses. That’s how I look at it.

If you prefer some aspect of the gen1, great! But the “it sounds dumb! It has a v6” is tired. That v6 outperforms the v8.

I hear you but trust me it's really not that bad especially inside the cab.

It really use to bother me too but once I purchased one the sound actually grew on me.

No, it's not the deep rumble I loved on my 2014 F150 FX4 Supercrew but it still sounds nice.

And the Performance, appearance, Technology, shocks, etc. more than make up for the lack of sound at least to me as I'm older and I enjoy having a quieter truck whilst listening to the music.

I do understand though.

If you can even get one

FYI all. The GT500 can be ordered now as well. Be prepared to pay $20 - $30k over sticker.

They're making 5,000 GT500s for the 2020 MY so don't worry. Right now the dealers are just getting greedy because of all the got to have it first buyers. ADMs will die down quick once the GT500 hits dealers and we'll learn what the market is for a Mustang that stickers between $75k to $100k.

The Gen 2 outperforms the Gen 1 6.2L Raptor in every single category. I waited two years for the "elusive V8" before finally selling my beloved Gen 1 and I regret I did not do it earlier. I added SPD TAs and swapped out my Gen 2 muffler (among other mods) and I am totally fine with my V6 "rice burner" growl as I outrun every single V8 truck who has ever revved their loud-mouth motor next to me. These days, most do not even bother...

Instead of posting negative comments about something you have never owned, buy a Gen 2 and you will never look back, except to see the old-school V8s in your rearview mirror...

Coming from GM trucks/performance cars I’d much prefer Ford stick to this tt V6 platform since, IMO (and many others) Fords V8s are “trash” compared to an LS/LTx or a Hemi.

So why hold your breath for them to put one in the Raptor again? How’s that voodoo V8 holding up? The coyote has proven to be super reliable too right?

And regardless- even if they were churning out great V8 engines, you really wanna be the guinea pig for a new design in a $85k vehicle?

Not me

I’ll take the tt V6 w/ a tune please

I did some more research today and reached out to some owners and they sent some valuable information as to what they did to upgrade the exhaust system. They actually sound mean now.

Was really wishing they would bring back the Terrain color option or something like a desert tan/coyote look.
