Have you ordered them yet? I’ve been talking with them too about some other stuff.

I asked them to add it to my order for bumpers which should be in powder next week and delivered the following week. They didn't have any in stock but will be making them soon.

I'm telling ya, on the Baja runs, the stockish trucks that have 3.0s, deavers and uppers almost NEVER break. The truck tells you when youve gone too far, but before it will break. Its almost like the truck wags its finger at you and says " hey stupid, dont do that any more."

Now once you go farther than that, you can do more and act more like a knucklehead, but when you break, youre broken. you can now drive the truck past the "safety buffer" and now you need lots more spares, lots more maintenance and lots more talent.

No, you arent going to charge like a linked truck in a beefed up shocks and arms raptor. You will smile a lot more, you'll have fun and you'll get to watch knuckleheads like me fix my crap in the middle of the desert, all because I wanted to go 15 mph faster and jump the truck 2 feet higher.

in summary:

Spot on !!!

And specially the last part 15 mph more, 2 feet higher would cost you a lot of money sweat and tears but on the other hand it's all justified with a big smile when you achieve the 15 mph and the 2 feet higher jump that adrenaline rush you get is not like anything else so you keep doing it and breaking it and doing it again that's the fun part of it.

What do you mean by clearance them? I am about to pull the trigger on traction bars and shackles so can put everything on at same time.

Any specifics on the clearance you speak about which can be passed on to these manufacturers?

the camburg shackles rub the framerail on some trucks at about 3/4 of downtravel. The svc shackles that I have have a slightly different profile that avoids the slight rub. There is some play in the spring bushings that can cause side deflection, and thus rubbing.

if you are running traction bars, they negate this, but not totally.

I have some SVC shackles coming so will post up a picture and if you wouldn’t mind telling me if they look like they will be fine since I believe they make them totally by hand. If I need to modify them it will be much easier before putting them on obviously lol.

Wtf?!? I just called them and they said they don't offer them. Jeff needs to sort his shit out.

Oh. Well please don’t make me not get mine lol. I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of their products they make if that has anything to do with it or not I’m not sure. Just something to think about maybe. Idk.

If they are only offering it as part of a suspension package then I am slightly less irritated. I just bought an intercooler from them but I guess that's different.

same here, except 10s of 1000s. I only ended up with the shackles because my truck was on the lift at svc. seeing them side by side with the other shackles that I had with me, and already having the truck blown apart led to me shrugging, saying "sure" and installing them.

Be sure to tell them what leafs you will be running. The ones they send me first time didn't fit the Icon double wrapped eye. :banghead:

whats the difference between shackles? were you able to take a comparison pic?

What made them not fit. I noticed now that since i swapped to icon leafs, at full droop the spring behave differently.
