For the past 5 months or so after I drive about 10 minutes with adaptive cruise it shows sensor blocked and just shuts off, also if I turn on normal cruise it just consistently shows sensor blocked so basically I cant use any type of cruise. Ford dealership number 1 tried charging me $95 dollars to clean my bumper since they couldnt find anything wrong so there was no warranty claim Ford dealer number 3-5 are over a month until the next appointment. Is there any chance the pedal commander is causing this or anything else anyone can think of? Its driving me crazy

Ya they were pretty bad. Also tried changing my air filter to the tune of $110 bc ya know hour of labor. I disconnected my pedal commander and disconnected the battery for 30 minutes last night so I'll let you know if that fixes it

a month out for appointments is just crazy talk. how do these dealers stay in business?

The dealer model to profit is not by selling cars, it is by doing warranty work , and some out of pocket repairs. These dealers should be cycling appointments in rapid fashion. More appointments, more profit.

For those who don't know. Every time a Ford dealer works on your vehicle for warranty work, they bill Ford.

The single biggest issue is competent techs. The labor pool regarding techs has been drying up rapidly. It is difficult to find and keep good techs. I know as I employ 15-16 at a time. I am an independent, and the dealer does have perks we as independents don't, but there is still a shortage of good qualified techs. Used to be the dealer would "flood" the floor with techs and be able to keep up with the demand. Not so much anymore. So, in turn, fewer techs, less output. Vicious cycle.

I don't have a Pedal Commander but my front bumper is currently covered in mud (again) and the adaptive cruise works fine (the only time it wigs out is when I'm passing a tractor-trailer approaching a curve).
