Replacement Antenna Question

For my ‘18. Tried shorter but just didn’t get good reception. This was a great balance that gets in my garage without touching the door.

I used this one and have loved it. Looks stock and how it should of came from the factory.

I had the same issue with garage clearance... I live in the Chambersburg, PA area and kinda rural. I went with a 25 inch stock looking antenna, no issues with reception. I believe F-150’s come with a standard 31 inch mast. All comes down to personal preference, I looked at the 50 cal. stubby, but needed the reception since I listen to FM radio.

I had similar issues in the parking garage at work, with the antenna slapping a beam about every 20' through the structure. It wore the little ball off the top of the antenna and the spiral wire unwound. I took off the antenna and cut about 4-5" inches off the top and removed the spiral wire. Works great in the parking garage, still several inches about the cab, but still taps the home garage just once at the entrance. I can live with it as is. I can't tell a difference in reception.

Just took mine off , why was it even installed : useless to say the least.
