I love the bakflip MX4 bedcover. But it’s around $800 delivered. IMO it makes the truck so much more useful as a DD. Also it looks really good.

welcome to the new addiction. :) I remember you from mustang5g and your shelby(s).

Feel free to take a look at my build thread and shoot me a DM if you would like any guidance. I went even farther with my raptor and now I don't quite fit in around here any more. :)
Z,

I thought that name was familiar. How have you been brother? Can you drop me a link to your build thread?

One of the first things I need to handle is a bed liner and a tonneau cover. I will definitely look into yours

1. Forscan to turn off all the binging & bonging, crappy startup screen and auto start/stop.
2. Front springs: Eibach or Geiser (can get Geiser for $500 on the nose with discount if you hunt around)
3. You can add a rear leaf for $500 bucks which would be a good budget fix for the rear if you don't want to "spring" (see what I did there!) for Deaver/Icon.
4. TPMS into the spare so you can just change tires on a run without lots of dash drama.
5. GJ motorsports 3rd brake light if you do runs. The cheapest option will be under $600 if you wait for a sale.

Bonus: 6. LVJ Motorsports relay panel if you are running a lot of lights. I know $350 seems like a lot but I have designed and built my own equivalent panel and spent much more in parts with minimum order quantities etc. let alone the time invested. I still have to make a bracket for mine too. Just give him your money is my suggestion!
What do the front springs / rear leaf replacements do for you?

Front springs purely to lift the nose? Instead of using one of those aluminum spacers?

What’s the purpose of replacing the leaf spring in the back?

They can increase ride height depending on what ones you choose. They also help to lessen the dreaded kick or skip on washboard and square edged holes Offroad and the same for potholes and expansion joints

Collars just add preload to your existing spring so you are sacrificing some of the softer initial travel compared to the stock springs. A spring replacement is (IMO) always going to be less of a compromise.

The rear of the stock truck is under sprung. Benefits include:
-less wheel hop
-increased clearance
-less sideways skip over potholes etc
-less sag with weight in bed
-less likely to bottom out
-general ride quality with them being progressive

My favorite mod is the Cobb tune but that’s a little over $500.

Favorite mods under $500 are:

E&G console safe
Bed rug
Black gorilla lugs

Oh and if your truck is a light color spraying the rear fender wells black made a huge difference in appearance IMHO
