My only issue is with my two Platinums before i.e. my present 2018 Raptor.
The wipers MUST be totally off, no leaving it in auto mode. Else wise, on a beautiful day I’m driving down the road and the wipers wiping with absolutely no reason. It may be in the morning afternoon evening, it really doesn’t matter.

What is with these rubber bands left on the truck, I just found one when I installed the catch can under the engine cover, and on another video I saw on YouTube a guy was changing oil and found one by the oil filter, and now you....i kept the rubber band BTW, it's mine now

I kept mine too! I did see a few others as you stated. That's the only reason I wanted to bring it up here.

Model Year 2018, day 1 build date, July 2017. Took delivery Aug 2017. 33,000 miles. Mostly good. Several small issues:
  • Original tires...I use 6 and rotate all. Still have life at 33k. Equivalent of 22k on each tire. Rotate them myself every 5k...only takes 30-60 minutes. Removing and replacing the under vehicle spare takes 10 minutes of that time.
  • Using ceramic beads...happy.
  • No issues with the plastic oil pan yet
  • Vacuum sensor failure. Got “Check Brake System” message. Replaced under warranty
  • Pano roof stuck closed - replaced tracks under warranty
  • Failed console screen - replaced under warranty
  • Blown fuse for 12 volt USB ports and 12 volt plug port - replaced under warranty
  • Seat belts quit retracting. Replaced under warranty. Poor design and a safety issue if the belt no longer retracts. Too little space for belt to pass through. Belt loads with dust creating too much friction for retractor to pull belt through the narrow slit. Ford should redesign since we drive these trucks in dusty conditions.
  • One TPMS failure - replaced under warranty
  • The lug nuts are beat up. I’ll ask the dealer if they’ll replace under warranty
  • Had a full Xpel wrap done within first week. I had the hood piece replaced on my dime due to stone damage. I’ve driven through a fair amount of brush. The Xpel seems to be doing it’s thing...Magnetic paint looks good as new, as does the wrap. Expensive though.
Gonna trade the 2018 in on a 2020. I did not get the extended warranty as I planned on turning every two years. If there really is a BIG motor option in 2020, I’ll likely buy it and a warranty, then keep for more miles.

I do love the truck.

2018 - had a few random misfires throughout, lost oil pressure one day, blew the motor at 17k, told spun bearing, dealer replaced engine and both turbos. Had one misfire after replacement they reset the ecu and it hasn’t had any problems for the last few thousand miles.

I have 5000 on my new 19 and it is the most fun truck I have ever had. I never have had so many people stop me or give me the thumbs up. Only one thing that could be an issue down the road are the window switches. The way they are designed on the door if you happen to have the window down and it starts to rain, water likes to gather right on the switch so I make sure that if it is raining and I get back in my truck I make sure and grab a towel and just wipe them off. Other than that Its the best truck and I will be trading it maybe in 2022 for a new one.

2019 Supercrew with minor issue; the emergency brake switch was replaced according to dealer as the light kept coming on to get emergency brake serviced. Manual stated low brake fluid can cause same issue.

Sometimes my wipers work really fast when turned to the first notch even though it's not raining hard but most of the time the rain sensing system seems to work properly.

Heard what seemed to be perhaps cam phasers tensioner if there's such a thing, don't really know but anyways it was a little loud sound when starting for maybe a second then quite. I'm thinking this was due to it being low on oil prior to me changing it at 4,857 miles.

It only did it a few times but hasn't done it since the oil change. It was 2 1/2 quarts low.

My bad, however I had checked it about 2,000 mile mark and it was a little higher than the middle mark on the dip stick so I'm guessing it burned a little oil.

Will be keeping my eye on the oil level often.

Manual states it's normal for high performance engine to burn some oil up to 7,500 miles.

Not worried, I love this truck and she runs great.

2018 SCREW with about 3K miles here. This is my first ever Ford as well. Aside from Fords terrible quality assurance, the only issue I experienced is frozen doors/handles during the cold(ish) winter months. Apparently it’s a common issue on F-150’s...pretty embarrassing with $70K+ truck.

I removed the rubber drain plugs from each door and it seems to have helped.

Bought my ‘18 new w/ 80 miles mid Feb & just turned 8000 miles on a 700 mile road trip. Only “issue” was a front fender flare that had a poor fit from the factory (gap between the 2 parts) was fixed by dealer @ first oil change (where they also lost a couple skid plate screws lol)- have had a couple hard shifts when the truck was first started but other than that no problems.

Much better truck than my last 2 2014-2015 GMCs were from a build quality standpoint IMHO.
