So I contacted Ford Corp after finding out cam phasers are on back order till end of August which puts me without my truck for 3 months and I have only had the truck for 3 weeks since purchasing it 6 weeks ago. The Ford Rep, after a week of calls to Ford Finally called me back. After hearing my concerns she said that we could submitt a "Ford Buy Back" which would take 5 days for Ford to determined based on my State Lemon laws if they would buy it back. I told the Rep I will think about if over the weekend and she said she will continue to try and find me parts (I doubt she will have any luck) until I make my decision.

So I am not sure at this point what I want to do. My local dealer has me in a loaner truck so I am not completely without anything to drive. If I decide to do the buy back I really dont think I will be back in another Ford which is really sad because I love the brand and I really love the Raptor but I am a fool me once kinda guy. But there isn't any other truck on the market I want so if I take the money I feel like whatever I buy I will be settling. Do I take a chance and get the money back and source me anoher Raptor (and possible deal with this all over) or do I just wait 3 months to get my truck back or do I get the money and just find something else all together (and not be happy). Advice? Any sugguest on other trucks? And off the table is Brand New Raptor, I can't afford 70K.

What do you think this sound is? I dropped my 2018 off at the dealer today. When I played the video for the service writer, he got me a rental and an appointment right away. For what it's worth, I posted this video in another discussion inadvertently. I deleted it and brought it here. Don't want anyone thinking I'm trolling. New to this.

I have a 17' with 30K miles, I get a similar rattle on cold start ups, but not nearly as loud. I also hear a small tick, which sounds like valve train tick when I'm idling. I can hear it in the truck with the radio off, and my neighbor heard when they were standing on the passenger side, and asked what that noise was.
Does this sound like the Cam-Phaser?

Also, my buddy has a 17' with around the same mileage, and I heard his rattle pretty loudly the other day when he started in the morning.

I have the start up rattle and I also have a tick once warm which sounds like it's coming from the passenger side of the motor. It isn't the injectors which can be fairly loud on these motors. It's loud enough that I've had car people ask about it (including GM techs). I can hear it in the cab with the radio and air off.

If you go on the F150 forums you'll see that the 2018+ 5.0 is having more issues than the Ecos.
I spend some time over at f150 and it looks like the 2019 5.0s are having the same problems. It seems like ford is just giving away long blocks over there.
