SPORT MODE SUCKS

I have to disagree - Sport mode is for the street. Traction Control is really going to **** with you, and if it's a 19, the live shocks will too. It stiffens up the outside shock to prevent body roll in when corning in Sport mode, and that is *definitely* something you don't want on the dirt.

If you are on a track (dirt or pavement), the last thing you want to happen is for the truck to shift gears on you mid corner. That kind of stuff sends you off into the barrier. So "sport" mode is working like it should. The problem is most people (me included) use sport mode in situations that really you should just be in normal.

In regards to manual shifting. that is basically worthless. 3 second delays between input on the paddle and the gear shift taking place = missed shifts and bouncing off the rev limiter. Now that is embarrassing.

I'm on dirt roads quite often, still not a fan of the sport mode. Totally agree with you, shifting out/cranking around a corner in dirt could be a problem, I personally haven't had this problem yet.

I'm simply unimpressed with SPORT MODE. My truck Kicks ass, pretty sure we can all agree on this together.

I've had multiple F150 EB's, not once have I been a fan of SPORT MODE and/or found a good application. (I'll be driving an 18 Shelby Cobra this weekend, I'll be trying Sport Mode)

I have been looking at the peddle commander, do you have one?

I get what you're saying and that was my assessment when I first tried out Sport mode. My biggest complaint then - and now - is how it holds the revs in a gear when I let off of the throttle before shifting to the next gear - it just takes too long to upshift.

As it stands, that is the ONLY issue I have with the truck - period - and I've learned to adjust my driving around it because I'm pretty much always in Sport mode.

I like sport mode but not for driving in traffic.

Tow/haul mode is better for accelerating in traffic.

Normal is so tame that sometimes a Prius will pass you lol

It is supposed to. Sorry man. not trying to beat a dead horse. You are not using the mode for it's intended purpose. If you want better throttle response in straight lines...get a tune. Pedal commander are just a band aid to the problem.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sport Mode does what it was designed to do. As mentioned above, it is supposed to hold you in the gears longer for better acceleration,like say in a "drag race" situation, up to a decent speed like 85 or 90.....(not that I ever go that fast)

, but just saying, it works well. I'm very happy with it. Makes the truck MUCH more responsive than Normal mode.....and yes, the shifts are harder and more positive than Normal mode.

Sport mode in traffic.... why?

I see your point, but as others have stated, the intention of sport mode isnt to be "that guy" in traffic.

I use sport mode in traffic when I want a little more jump then normal mode gives you.
But I mostly use normal

Not to argue my friend but Sport mode is for off road use as indicated in your owners manual, page 270. “Use for off road spirited and aggressive off road driving situations” just saying. Also, all this talk about traction control and outside shock adjusting is not something you want when in the dirt! are you saying Ford designed this thing backwards? I don’t think so my friend. Sport mode is for the dirt and all adjustments made by engaging the driving mode is designed for that mode.
