I just rec'd my ADD Pro Bolt-on Monday...will install this weekend..One positive for me with the ADD was how tight it held against the front body line to allow full use of the front camera...
I'm NOT adding a $1900 IC just to install a replacement bumper..and have read were several guys have had coolant temps running high while towing with the new IC in front of the radiator...I'm buying a 20' enclosed trailer to haul a new Polaris RZR and don't want a single heat issue...

Good points, agree with the 1900 IC is way too much for me, if I had that money to spend then I would do it, but I have SEVERAL other things i'd like to invest that much money into with the truck.

id be amazed that a different intercooler would cause heat issues. Something sounds like its installed wrong. The truck will pull a 20' trailer and razor all day long. I do it and its easy breazy. Its like there is nothing back there.

What inner cooler did you install? What is your typical ambient temp and how steep of a grade have you pulled?

i have the stock intercooler and do not want to change it for dealership warranty crying purposes. One less possible headache. I was just commenting that if an aftermarket intercooler is running hotter it is abnormal since it is positioned higher with better airflow and larger capacity than stock. I pull on mostly texas flatland in the southwest so I have not done steep grades but temperatures are typically 90-105. I am not the best example for long hard towing.

I agree on not wanting to fight a warranty issue. I believe what @Loufish was getting at is the engine coolant gets high because the IC sits right in front of it. Air goes through it yes, but it still sits directly in front of it. I don’t want to replace IC just to find out I also need to change my radiator to keep temps in the norm.

I got my info from several posters here that experienced an heating issue after the IC install, BUT that doesn't mean everybody who does the install will have the same issue...it doesn't seem that unlikely given you just added a heat producing item in front of the radiator. The bottom line for me is that the cost for the IC would be better spent on some suspension items....
And thanks for the tow experience feedback, I'm dying to tow something like that to see for myself what a towing monster this truck should be...

I’ve towed a 24ft enclosed. No issues other than soft rear springs.

Yeah that sounds right...running Deaver +3 pak....but won't be surprised if it sags too much and then I'll run the Anderson WDH...run it before and really liked it...
I’ve got a Curt WDH. I was limited on options because of the way the front of my hitch is on trailer. V-Nose cargo mate, square area 18ft, 5ft v-nose, plus tongue so 24ft total length ball to taillights. I was hoping to get Blue Ox but local dealer did not think their hitch would work.

Just installed my new ADD Pro front bumper....Some thoughts...

1) there is a shutter box that needs to be completely removed, but instructions were somewhat vague..

2) After removing the shutter box, there is a rubber sealing piece across the top where the stock bumper was...No instructions on what to do with that...We left it in place and drilled holes in the lower grille shell to zip-ty the rubber piece AND the small wire harness that runs right across the IC space...(see photo 2 sorry bad lighting) and left it to fit under the bumpers main tube...
3) The bumpers lower section where the new skid plate is bolted to is to bolt back up to the same x-member as factory, HOWEVER..the new bumper piece is flat and the secondary skid plate has ribs embossed on it, and simply bolting on the new portion on top of the embossed plate would just "squish" it flat...we added several flat washers to take up the small gap on the rib so we could tighten it up without flattening the secondary skid plate...
4) All the hardware fit just fine, as did the bumper and ADD did a great job bending the main tube to fit the contours of the front of these trucks...real tight and correct...Very happy with fit and finish...and looks better in person then the photos...

Took just under 2 hrs and we spent extra time making sure the harness wasn't going to fall down later...Oh yeah...ADD gives you an ass load of very HD brackets to bolt on just about any light system...
