i posted this in the interior section also but thought maybe over here would be better .the other day I noticed my speedometer while stopped is way below the 0 , it moves like normal but now is way off, like 15 mph . Anyone ever see this before or know how to fix it? Not sure what happened as I am pretty sure it was working fine the day before.

I tried disconnecting the battery for a bit but same thing.

What holds it at 0?

Truck is a 2012 with 101k issue free miles .

Somebody on here had a issue with rpm gauge being off they had to pull the needle line it up to correct position and reinsert.

Boy that would get a me a ton of speeding tickets.

IF you hold down the OK button on steering wheel then insert key and start engine gets you to engineering mode and there is a guage sweep section , try that.

So, I HAD the tach issue. I tried removing the needle and repositioning it - but it just went right back to the same spot. I don't like how I fixed it, but it worked. I had to simply move the needle to the right spot with the truck running. This was the tach, but I wager they work about the same.

Do it at your own risk, I tried a bunch of other things first such as engineer mode, leaving the battery disconnected, reapplying my tune, etc etc. Nada. This worked and it has been fine since. I was out of options.

Just tried that, the speedo doesn’t do a full sweep, stops about the same distance it’s off

Does the clear cover come off? I got to where the 4 screws are holding the cluster in but how to you get to the needle?

Yes, the clear cover comes off easily with a few screws. You don't have to pull the cluster out. It's a "don't overthink it" situation.

Not sure you can adjust that on the SCT unless you tell it different tire sizes. I'm curious if you are able to - but it shouldn't work well if you do that. If your needle is off, say 5mph, it's always 5mph. If you adjust tire size you are compensating more the faster you go since you are off a percentage, not a fixed amount.

I readjusted the needle a couple times and got it dead on according to a couple police radar speed signs.

At least it's on at 30 ,50 and 90.

Thanks for the help. Now on to trans and diff service
