Not the weight of a raptor but heavier than the ZL1 & Mustangs but there are many Whippled 2018 F150 trucks out there that are producing 10sec time slips doing boosted 4X4 launches and no issues. One in particular that comes to mind is the "Undertaker". His youtube username is Boosted F-150. He has literally done hundreds of boosted 4X4 launches with the ELocker on.

He has broken a few times but I like what he is doing.

The real limiting factory on the ecoboost right now is the turbos. I dont want to go top mount and there are no great aftermarket options out there. If someone could mid/low mount a set of Garret G25-550's that would be killer. It would spool a little slower than stock but would support 1000hp.

Chris- the turbos, EFR or GSeries are not top mount on the raptors from full race. They are both tucked away so that if you open the hood you can’t really even see them. Food for thought man. Nothing like the top mount gen1

That might be great for a street queen, but unless you're adding serious amti-lag, slower spooling turbos are gonna spell disaster for emergency avoidance throttle scenarios when you're off road. I'd rather see a compound set up to get quick spooling, yet bigger power numbers at the top end for when you want to stretch your legs.

G25-550’s with a 4.2l and cams ***** just fine. Just way more fun

Any slower of a spool and my truck would be wrapped around a boulder near ponchos outside of bay of LA. It was literally an excercise in inches.

Even with a tune and throttle sensitivity
set super high, there is still a very slight lag with the stockers. You can't just stab the throttle and get a quick reaction.

Would these turbos have less lag than stock?

It isn't always about how much power you have on tap. It's how much speed you can carry and how much control you can maintain.

It's realllllllll difficult for me to drive my gen 2 smoother than a gen1. Way more jerky and amusement park ride-ish to get the truck to move a rotate the same way.

I remember Mary Posey used to scream "stick you bitch" around autocross courses during the ultimate street car challenge. I found myself screaming " dig you mother effer" when trying to get the truck to swing the ass around and grab some traction. It was way more white knuckle that I'd have liked.
