Got hit hard with the bug for the Raptor. Been a long time car guy, but just recently found myself in need of a truck. Had the chance to attend the Raptor Assault due to a good relationship with the Ford Performance Racing School and I got hooked. The 2019 is obviously the ticket with the new suspension, but reality and relatively smart financial planning puts me at $50K (ish) to spend on an 802A SCREW Gen2 Raptor.

I have contacts that would allow me to order a new one at MSRP, but as built the 71k price tag still is over where i want to be.

Not here to insult anyone’s intelligence or get flamed. Legitimately asking if a budget of 50k (ish) before taxes will score me a used and unmolested SCREW 802A truck. I come from the GT350R crowd and have watched that market change, but the Raptor is unknown to me.

If I am still off the mark with my pricing, when do you foresee the Gen2 802A trucks in that range? Dont have a problem with being patient, but would love to pull the trigger on a truck if I knew where to look.

Current rides for street cred...

I think it’s possible if you have diligence looking and are willing to make a trip to pick one up. You will be glad you did!

I also think your in the ballpark for a 17 for that money. From the looks of your stable (nice rides my friend) you really need a Raptor to top it off. Best of luck in your search and hoping you join our family soon. Let us know when it happens.

you wont get a new 802A down to that but just as an FYI MSRP isn't a great deal anymore if you're willing to travel/ship it

Personally unless you NEED to have all the tech gadgets & plush interior I'd look for a "stripped" 801a or base SCAB Raptor new, leftover '18 if around, OR see if you can order a new one stripped down- could probably do it for $55-58k or so if you find the right dealer to sell for MSRP, you can get a SCAB 801a Raptor for $57.5k according to Ford's website. You get leather interior + sync plus the basic mechanical stuff all Raptors have.

$50k for a truck w/ 50-60k miles & likely first model year isn't something I'd do when I could get a new one w/ slightly less options zero miles & a full warranty for $10k more....especially SINCE Raptors hold their value so well in the first place relative to most other vehicles, YOU could be the guy clearing $50k in a few years for a paid-off Raptor you purchased new....
