Best High Lift Floor Jack?

Yeah... $430 is super steep for a jack. There are too many cheaper alternatives. If your 18” or 20” is just short, you can add an extension for $30 or even cut a 6x6 as a booster for driveway tire rotations.

The jacks purpose is to lift... not hold. A good set of stands are essential.

Anyone have a suggestion for the best (lightweight) floor jack with enough lift to get a Raptor wheel off the ground? I feel like a shoe cobbler with no shoes LOL, I have (2) 4-post lifts one of which has front and rear hydraulic trolley lifts but I always have cars on them in those garage bays. Looking for higher lifting floor jack than those I currently have. Thanks...
Can you share info about your 4 post lifts? I have been shopping the Backyard Buddy Super Duty Lift ( now Steel Valley Lift after name change) is tops on my list made in USA....but I found a 9000 Triumph XLT made in China and could buy two of these for the price of the Steel Valley....I see some of the differences but $8000-9000 vs. $4000....The super duty has the most Clearance of 84" and I think the weight difference is about 2000lbs difference...I know which is best and which one I want but wow what a price difference....Thanks

I have been shopping the Backyard Buddy Super Duty Lift ( now Steel Valley Lift after name change) is tops on my list made in USA....but I found a 9000 Triumph XLT made in China and could buy two of these for the price of the Steel Valley....I see some of the differences but $8000-9000 vs. $4000....The super duty has the most Clearance of 84" and I think the weight difference is about 2000lbs difference...I know which is best and which one I want but wow what a price difference....Thanks

I probably sound like a hypocrite since I’m already using a Pittsburgh HF Jack (which I assume is made in China, but I’ve already decided it ain’t up to task for jacking a truck)- but I’ve had the (mis)fortune of getting tours through many Chinese factories- particularly metal working- & zero chance I’d trust build quality on something as critical as a car lift.

I could give numerous examples- one quick one though: while touring a brass factory where they made pipe, basic ball valves, water meter casings etc. I saw some of their “skilled” techs welding w/o any glasses or safety gear, smoking a cig while peering through a piece of cardboard w/ a little hole poked through it or using actual sunglasses - I am not making that up. Now- clearly the health effects are terrible, but also what kinda welds are getting done under those conditions? Not strong uniforms tight beads that’s for sure

I am with your opinion about China vs USA made 100%....Especially if placing a F-250 diesel on it and storing maybe the Raptor under it...just hesitating on this leap...hoping the forum would give me that push to make the right decision or suggest an alternative to something I could live without.

Relative to 4-post lifts, When I purchased both of mine 15-20 years ago I had experience with virtually all the lift manufacturers and I chose Back Yard Buddy due to their design of the collars surrounding the posts. Looking at the new site, I suspect mine would be now called the '7k classic' as they are for my cars and not the much larger truck version. At that time I recall I paid around $5000 each with a few accessories. If I were to do it again I would absolutely make the same choice. It's a lifetime tool and you'll soon forget about the cost. I've never been sorry for buying the best.

PS, I just remembered I saw a email from JMC equipment with 15% off BackYard Buddy Lifts through 31-May. The truck version is much larger than their 7k car version and pricing is about 50% more. Good luck....

Pro Eagle 3-ton aluminum floor jack arrived, a forever tool that's well worth the investment!

Are you guys that bought the Pro Eagle going for the 3 ton or 2 ton...I'm assuming 3 ton?...any suggestions on which vendor on here sells them and has good price and customer service?

OH...and appx. clearance ... searched around and looks like 6" min. and wanting to use on my Corvette also which is right around 7"...

LOL...I dont know,looking at that Pro Eagle on their site kind of gets me all hot and *****....and gonna pull the trigger pretty soon on one...just need to find out if the 2 or 3 ton is best for both my vehicles..one needs the weight,other the low clearance...

For the low clearance vehicle, get an inexpensive set of ramps. Drive the car up the ramps and then use the jack.

I do this with my ‘74 Alfa which is very low clearance.

Otherwise it’s two jacks. You need the 3 ton for the Raptor and low clearance for the Vette.
