The post came off their Facebook page and didn't specify. I have auto AC in mine and it updated just fine, except it didn't solve the primary issue I'm having of no audio coming from the Android side of the system.

I’ve troubleshooted at least 50 of these units. Your problem is a failure of the android tablet to piggyback into the sync harness. Most times it’s been a connection issue. The connectors are extremely fragile and have to be pressed in just right and extremely tight.

The actual trouble is usually the canbus box connections. I would take it apart, reconnect everything. Then hard reset the unit and apply a simple canbus update. If that doesn’t work you need to RMA the unit.

Difference between px3 and px6? I'm going to place my order this time, and the specs on the 8.1 v. 7.1 seem better. They say it retains everything.

Another question, I have a galaxy 10, wife has an iPhone and drives the truck from time to time. The 8.1 has optional internal android auto and optional can play. Do y'all think I would need both for us to connect our phones? I would think my android would be able to connect to the Android tablet, but stranger things have happened.

Please report back on GPS etc. I’ll buy the new one if shit actually works this time, if not, I’m still probably going to put mine back to stock, too many GPS issues and laggy Waze through the Phoenix unit.

Will do. For Waze I am ob the beta releases so I have issues that are beta release related more often than not. I am hoping the GPS does not cause the current issue most if not all are having if they want to use the stock GPS in Sync 3.

For anyone that does want one I know they have 2 coupon codes that I know of. One is 3% if you subscribe (not really a code) and the other is comeback5 for 5% off your order. If I learn of others will let you all know.

Matthew if I remember correctly you would only need the addons if you vehicle and system is not already car play or android auto capable. In my case with Sync3, it is already capable so no addons or extras are needed. My wife's iPhone works fine and my Galaxy Note 9 works just fine.

Same. I’m a tech guy but I’m not interested in having tech that I have to constantly mess with.

I bought the px6 variety. My px3 unit that I have now has worked really without any major issues. The only major bug is that the stock navigation doesn’t work, but who would use that anyway?

I’ll be happy to pass it along to
Someone if they want it after I install the px6.
