Shock makes no difference, it's the shock tower that's in the way.

I haven’t installed yet so I can’t answer that. I also tend to upgrade when it’s time to replace. Rick and Chris can definitely give you more info. Below is what Chris sent me on them.

“The less resistance the better, but according to Granatelli, they claim about a 15hp increase with the installation of the wires and diodes in a NA engine. While I haven't had one on a dyno before and after to confirm that, I have installed both their red performance wires and their green MPG wires and the green wires helped that client get to a solid 15 mpg on a trip to Tx after we did a spa treatment on his and even those wires provided a seat of the pants change in performance that I could feel and we didn't tune that client's truck. The red performance wires provide similar increase that can actually be felt and while we aren't talking about the kind of difference that is going to blow you away overall, there is definitely a nice increase there.”

I think the front leaf nut is a 24mm, which is prob equiv to a 1 1/16"

a 15/16" deep socket is handy for the U bolts as using a wrench takes a long time.
18mm and 21mm sockets are good too as the rear leaf bolts are opposite of each other. so on one of the shackle bolts you can use a 18mm socket and 21mm wrench, while the top one you can use an 18mm wrench and a 21mm socket. just makes things faster.

other than that I found a dead blow and a pry bar useful to line up the shackle in the shackle frame mount.

no, some of the sizes match up along the way. like a 13 and 1/2". That's why I said the front leaf nut is a 24mm, not a 1 1/16, but again, those two may line up and be the same size. I know the Icon U bolt nuts are 15/16, but again, that's aftermarket. to be honest, I forget what the factory U bolt nuts were.
