Outdoor garage Shelter recommendations???

My beer fridge is the sole reason why my wife parks in the single car port and me in the double car port.

Or should I say, my backup/garage beer fridge. Only a caveman would walk inside to get a beer from the kitchen beverage fridge when he's doing yard work.

So who am I kidding? I've got nothing but time. Here's a couple of quick snaps that show how much room, or really how little room I have to spare. And this was only made possible by having lengthened the garage by about 3 feet last year.

Overview. Note something missing from garage ceiling?

What you see on the right, below pic, was originally just an overhang that we enclosed last year.

And the room left to close door. Yes, I could pull up a bit further. It doesn't take much to make me happy. 25 years ago a beer and a bone and my wife. Now, just my wife and fitting my truck in the garage, especially after I spend hours washing it. Now I can laugh at the rain. :lol:

Last but not least, I love my garage door opener. Have one in both garages. Got the idea after doing the knotty cedar ceiling in the smaller garage and not wanting to hang an eyesore motor. Yes, as I asked above, this is what's missing from the center of the ceiling.

Lol I feel your pain I have about 3inches in front and the same in back.
I put a some paper sticking out of a drawer of my cabinets to judge the right time to stop.

Doors actually open fine, but if swung carelessly, would hit.

Looks great. Love the side opener....now you can raise the tracks up to the ceiling.
I did that last year and loved it....especially after adding a 4-post car lift.

By the way, that a Chalk "T"?
I'm on my second Chalk...love the color.

Thank you. No, I wish it was a chalk. It's plain ol' white. My first white car (not counting a Dodge van years back which doesn't count lol) I love chalk. My former '18 Panamera 4 was almost chalk but wound up with a dark gray.

As for raising up tracks, take a careful look and let me know if you still think that can be done. I would love that. Wonder why they didn't do it. There is a header above the door on the inner portion I believe, if I even know what I'm talking about which is in doubt.

After finishing the construction to make the garage 3 feet longer (and I didn't actually get 3 feet as that is the exterior dimension (I already violated my side yard setback by that 3 feet so didn't want to go any further) I realized it was a mistake not to make the garage door taller.

I'd think you still could have someone do it pretty easy.
