Got mine in ND - had to have mine weighed as well. DMV said weight cert or ****. I guess YMMV.

I'm glad my dealer won't sell to CA. They are ruining TX (the ones who have moved here--sooner they move back to CA the better). Sorry call it like it is.

I doubt any Californians will move back from TX, it's only getting worse here.

I purchased my 18 and 19 from the same dealer in Michigan. Had them drop shipped to my local deal and paid tax and registration before I drove them home. Didn't need to get them weighed or smogged.

It’s their misunderstanding of the policy. If you reference the policy I shared, it won’t be an issue. You can always ask for the manager on duty to review the request.

Beware that CA DMV charges a penalty if you don't register a vehicle purchased out of state within like 10 to 20 days (check me on this it's been awhile) but a significant penalty would have been charged had I waited for my appointment (which was 6 weeks out) rather than standing in line earlier. I thought about buying mine "out of State", but could not find the exact options I wanted. My local dealer ordered me a "stripped" Scab, only options: power mirrors w/ Led puddle lights and Torsen, for MSRP and I had here in under 2 month.

None of my local dealers would even allow me to custom order one! They're all greedy and only want to sell fully loaded trucks. Ended up custom ordering from Camelback Ford in AZ for MSRP and received in about 6 weeks after ordering.
