Hey guys, I have about 11,000 miles on my 19 and I have a very bad squeak in my rear leaf springs. I can hear it from inside while I’m driving. Haven’t done any serious off-roading yet but I have gotten in some dirt here and there and a little mud. Noise started at about 9500 miles.
I lifted the body up onto a floor jack so the springs would decompress, power washed them out , even in the bushings and in between the leafs. Sprayed wd40 to get the water out. Hit it with a deep penetrating lube on the bushings, then sprayed fluid film on and in between the leafs and on the bushings. That lasted for a couple days and now it’s back squeaking loud again.
I’ve seen Gen1s be fixed by maybe ansoil hdmp? I tried fluid film as it’s also a lubricant and protectant but it didn’t fully work.
Has anyone experienced this or do they have any solutions ?
