Ok gents so I just got the call yesterday from the dealer left side turbo sucking oil, spark plugs were burnt also. They are replacing the turbo but I asked them why was it sucking oil. He told me he would ask his tech.

I asked them about the Valve covers and he said there is nothing from Ford on that. Valve covers not the issue.

It was valve cover gaskets not the cover itself, not sure if there was a build date range that was affected or if it was just case by case thing.

There were two things that Ford had recently. They revised valve covers for excessive white smoke out the exhaust. This was reported here a while back. More recently, Ford issued a bulletin concerning most Ford engines (this 3.5 ecoboost included) where there was excessive oil consumption. This was also reported here. Both issues had similarities to what the optional concern over. These are items to investigate - exactly what the OP wanted to know about. I see nothing wrong with that.

Guess he should also investigate his piston rings, head gasket and valve seals, you know, other things that make smoke, since we're investigating and all.
