Truck runs perfectly, has no driveability issues. However, in order to pass smog check here in CA, there must be no codes present and CEL must be off. These 3 codes have been an on again off again problem for many years, even though the truck runs perfect, and has no decrease in mileage.

Anyone know what sets these 3 codes and what the possible cause or repair to deal with them permanently is? Thank you in advance.

Awesome, thank you for the info. Which side is bank 2 if you know? I'm assuming the "vct22" solenoid is the cam sensor that is in the valve covers at the front? Thank you again.

Bank 1 is the side of the engine with the #1 cylinder on that side. Bank 2 is the other side obviously. You'll just have to figure out which side the #1 cylinder is on a Ford 6.2L- I'm not sure about that.

Lots of different places
I had P0456 on mine; it's either the capless fuel filler/fuel door or Canister Purge Valve (CPV). If you hear a ticking from the top LH engine area where the CPV lives, and/or have it take a long time to start right after filling the tank with fuel (cranks longer than usual or doesn't start the first try), replace the CPV.

So I had a hunch that I couldn't confirm with the limited code reader tool I have, so I dropped the truck at a local shop for diagnosis. In the past, when I wiggled the wire connector or unplugged it, I could get the code to go away and stay off for a while. That had me suspecting a connection problem. So today, according to the shop there is a problem with the connector or wire pig tail. Apparently a replacement connector is available from Ford for about $30. So either I'm replacing the connector or the shop is with their hour diagnosis.
