Places to drive in North GA

looking for good areas to drive north of Atlanta? Any suggestions?

The Georgia Traverse is a route that runs across N GA. from South Carolina to the Alabama border. There are a handful of decent sections of trails with more than a little pavement or gravel roads in between. It's a fun way to kill a weekend if you just blast through it and mark the better sections of trail for further exploration. I did 100% of it, along with plenty of side trails, in my Gen-1 before.

The best areas seem to be near Helen GA.
