I've always thought that a carbon fiber tailgate would be cool but have never come across one. I assume you've seen Tire Gates though?

I've seen those but all that does is expose my spare tire to sunlight and increase the chances of it getting stolen
I don't mind the stock tailgate but it certainly looks dated

Has anyone tried mounting a '17 tailgate on Gen1? I am thinking of adding this to my mod list unless there are definite reasons it wouldn't work/fit.
