Has anyone done a Kevlar coating on their raptor? I have a friend who did his Jeep in Dallas and it looked incredible and the work looked very clean.

Yeah this is definitely no an advertising thread. The company that did his was out of Dallas. I think it was called Starwood. It was high quality. He took his keys and ran it down the side of the Jeep and it did nothing to the finish. They quoted me $5800 to do my 2012 Raptor in black. Was just curious if anyone else had used it or seen it.

My opinion is that Starwood (I had a friend that had a Starwood Jeep) uses Line-X, and they market it as their own stuff.

No, it is not Line-X. It is Kevlar. I have been to their shop several times and have discussed builds with Jordan, who is over their spray department. Line-X would sue Starwood for everything they own if Starwood marketed it as their own. Not to mention, Line-X would not even sell them the material.

I am going to have the Line-X Ultra sprayed on my truck by Sarasota Line-X. They have done big SEMA builds and they spray boats all the time. It comes down to how much you want to spend and what chemical properties you want the spray material to have.

$5,800 would buy several families their lifetime supply of auto wax.
I bet that Starwood doesn't get many takers.
