cold air intake?

I have the Cobb Access Port for the Raptor. You definitely need to change the map after the Intercooler upgrade. No need to be sorry at all. We are all here to help each other enjoy our truck!

You don’t need to tune it with the inter cooler, it will run fine on the stock map but to get the additional performance it will need a tune.

I have a 2017 and added the roush intake very simple and I did notice an improvement with gas mileage and louder turbo spool and very slight hp gain. That being said I hear banks has put together something nice and afe is a good choice

Although I don't have a Raptor I've thrown a couple Raptor goodies on my 17 3.5 xlt. I really like ths Cobb Raptor intake. It has divorced pipes and utilizes the factory bottom half of intake box still giving it a true sealed intake not allowing any under hood engine heat in. Oh...couldn't pass on the 19 Raptor engine cover either.

In addition to the performance gains, do you notice increased turbo noises with the AFE intake? I'm on the fence of picking one up.

You definitely hear the turbos spooling under light to full load. I personally like the turbo spool noise. People sometimes assume it is a diesel because of the turbo spool. AFE is one of the best. They came out first. Cobb also just came out with their intake. Which is pictured above. I am a huge fan of Cobb. You can’t go wrong with either one.

Appreciate the input. I've been reading some good things with the Cobb intake as well but I'll most likely pull the trigger on the AFE intake sometime in the near future.

I went with the S&B. I’m in CA so it’s CARB certified. It looked good. Great price and main for me is in kind of quiet. I’ve had all sorts of CAI’s on all of the cars I’ve owned. I now don’t like the loud sucking noise.

I went with the agency power intake. After reading all the "warranty" fine print theirs was the most end user friendly. I may get crap from others but you can only suck in so much air through the stock intake tube at the front of the hood. I noticed quite an increase in audible turbo spool and a little better throttle response. And I saved myself a bit of change for some other mods I did after that.
