Throwing my 2c in. I had a rollx tonneau cover on my tacoma and build a rack to go over/through it. Yes, it "destroys" the tonneau for resale as there are 2 holes towards the front of the cab, but I would build the same thing again...I might do it for this truck.

The tonneau rolls up (on top, no canister so you have access to the entire bed) and under everything on the rack. The rack was mounted to the rear bumper and the bed in the front through the tonneau. I can dig up some more pictures if necessary, but it ended up working out quite well.

I am not one to ever bash a company but after my experience with Chad and KB Voodoo Fabrication this is absolutely necessary. Do not I repeat do not purchase anything from KB VooDoo Fabrications if you want quality or any type of customer service. Chad is horrible to deal with first and foremost. You will not receive any instructions with your rack. Yes, it is mostly self explanatory but if you have any questions don't expect much from Chad other than short degrading responses through email. There is a reason he doesn't offer a phone number on his website. Fitment wasn't as stated even though I emailed him prior to purchase. The rack doesn't fit properly with my MX4 cover and he keeps blaming me with no help. I assure you everything is installed properly but there just isn't enough clearance for my cover to close properly. Worst of all my rack started rusting after 3 weeks of install. Horrible product! Chad says it needs touched up over time. What?! Powder coat needs touched up after 3 weeks. Dude has horrible products and even worse customer service. He is not willing to work with you to make things right which is shocking as a small business owner with so many other options out there. Spend your money elsewhere. Raptor owners contact me if you have any questions.

If our customer service is so horrible, why do I have THIRTY SEVEN emails back and forth with this customer? We responded day and night, weekdays and weekends.

The installation of the product in question is super simple, I have no explanation as to why he had so much trouble with it, but I tried like hell to help him. We have at least a hundred F-150 owners with the same exact setup and no issues.

The powder coat was damaged during his installation attempts, so it should be touched up. We even refunded part of his money, even though we were not obligated to (there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product).

The reason I took our phone number off the website is because I'm a one man show, and the phone rings off the hook with sales calls all day, and most of the time I don't have time to talk. That said, we are the most responsive company you will ever deal with. We respond to emails usually within 30 minutes, sometimes instantly if I am at the desk.

Raptor owners contact me if you would like further detail.

I'm not mad first off just disappointed that I purchased a product that rusts after 3 weeks of being on my truck. Look at past posts about the powder coating and Voodoo products. I wish I would have before I purchased. I just want others to know what to expect before purchase. I didn't once struggle with install. This thing clearly doesn't fit with my cover. There is not enough clearance. No pictures of past customers could be provided to show me it fits in Chads supposedly 37 emails. Chad from Voodoo can say all he wants about sending emails but this isn't the definition of good customer service. No help and short offensive emails is all you get. Oh and my rack is still rusting. It was not damaged during install and is rusting everywhere. It has rust even in areas that weren't touched or rubbed against each other. Again if you want good customer service and a product that will last a long time and won't rust after 3 weeks I wouldn't recommend Voodoo.

We will respectfully agree to disagree.

Can you post a few more pics of your setup? How’re the towers mounted onto the bed? It looks like you have some kind of track system on the bedrails but really hard to tell. This is the exact setup I’m looking for. Thanks!

I see now that it’s the Pace-Edwards UltraGroove. That makes more sense. Would still like to see some more pics of the setup...preferably not in the garage.

Well, I’m glad you asked. I’m happy to help and even provide you with part numbers for my specific setup, seeing as no one else wanted to reply to your specific questions.

The towers or legs mount to the bed cover. This bed cover is made specifically with built in channels to accept feet for cross bars or rack platforms. Mine is the Pace Edwards Ultragroove, but I know other companies like Roll N Lock make a version. Mine was by far the best looking and best priced for this specific purpose.

Pace Edwards Ultragroove Bed Cover (KRFA05A28) - $1,173.56 shipped by seller worldraceparts on eBay

Front Runner Slimline II Tray - 1475mm W x 1560mm L (RRSTM08) - $805

Front Runner Pick-Up Roll Top Leg Mount x2 Pairs (LASS028) - $157.90

Front Runner Leg Spacer 6mm x2 Pairs (LASS027) - $33.90
