With 30k miles, front pads need to be replaced and I noticed last time doing some long extreme downhill, was getting some fade. Thinking I'll change fluid & pads together. What fluid and pad upgrade would help prevent fading?

Also, what a good inexpensive upgrade kit for later on?

I would use Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid, check your manual as I am still waiting for my Raptor.
Pads depend on your Raptor use. If you do a lot of off road, I would stick with Ford Raptor Pads as I am sure they spent many hours selecting a material that does not have a lot of "bite" so you don't lock up the wheels in the dirt, but still has enough friction to meet federial safety regulations. I like EBC yellowstuff pads for better "bite"

Definitely a good idea to replace the fluid at the same time as the pads. I went with Napa DOT4, Speed Bleeders, Crown Kevlar lines and R1 rotors/posiquiet pads from @Rick@FreedomMotorsports but that's on a Gen1 with 160k miles...
