Ok I figured you could and the funky connector is simply to lock in in the correct orrientation. What outputs from the ZEN to your DSP and why? Dont you just need a single full range input into the DSP? It looks like you have 3 running?

That harness in the picture from the zen to the dsp is simply a mock up. That zen was a first gen and I was originally concerned about chimes being routed to the correct speakers. After upgrading to the current version, I went optical out from the zen to my dsp.

Stupid question here, but did you route your speakers and tweeters through the factory harness? I'm trying to decide where to mount my crossovers. My options are the front doors or on the amp rack. I think on the ramp will look better, but require a lot more wiring to get everything to the passenger side.

In my particular build, I ran new wire to 6 front stage speakers.

However, in your case, you can mount your crossovers at your amp rack. From there, you can tie into the oem b&o output harness to feed your door speakers and rears. The only thing you will have to do is run new tweeter channels to your pillars. Very very easy to do. 5 minutes a side max. The reason you have to do this is the b&o system runs the front and rear door speakers off the amp but the tweeters are read off the headunit. Run new tweeter channels from your amp rack and you will be set.

Fyi, the NavTV Zen manual has the wiring schematic for the b&o amp in our trucks. Just follow that.

Any suggestions on placement for the tweeters. I've got focal k2's as my front stage. Also, sent you a PM about your amp rack since we have mostly the same equippment.

Factory pillar locations is as good as it gets without going custom a-pillars. They will sound good up there.

How did you convert the TOS link to optical and connect it to the L6 ? I don't have the Helix, and I'm assuming that's the missing piece. Do youknowof anyother way to get a simpler connection between the amp and the truck?

D-6.1200 doesn’t have optical input unfortunately.

How are y’all handling the center channel? Does the Zen have a center handoff and are you powering it off an amp? Do you need a 5 channel amp for the mid’s/highs (4 plus the center)?

I am in the process of ordering all the gear for version 2 of the system in my truck and just trying to sort out all the details. I will be selling my under the seat sealed box & Polk 12”, amp and loc set-up and am moving on to a Fox box w/ 2 @ 10” P3’s with a 1,000’ish 1ohm amp using the Zen. Just trying to work out how to configure the mid’s/highs. Currently I have all pioneer speakers in the factory locations running off the B&O ford factory amps.

I have grown tired of how flat the factory stereo sounds and now the the Zen has come down some in price I am ready to take the plunge. Many thanks for the info provided on these threads.
