Gonna be installing the Full Race FMIC very soon and I though about also upgrading to the Full Race radiator and trans cooler. The radiator is 2-row with TIG welded aluminum endtanks plastic oem endtanks. Has anyone upgraded to the Full Race radiator and trans cooler? If so what are your thoughts. Thanks

If you are in there for the intercooler and have the extra coin, do the transmission cool too.

As far as the radiator goes all aluminum construction will be more durable then the OEM unit
May or may not cool better.

I just installed the FR radiator and trans cooler. I also did the mishimoto overflow tank.

The radiator is a HUGE upgrade. The trans cooler is a HUGE upgrade. the radiator literally looks like jewelry. Like seriously beautiful and mirror polish. I emptied the stock radiator into gallon jugs for re-use. I probably spilled 1/2 Gal in the process.

I added back in a little more than a gallon on top of what I had re-used.

I'd say it's worth it if you have the coin.

I upgraded mine due to the lights on the front of my truck. they block a little bit of the lower radiator and I wanted some extra insurance.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought it would be a good idea to do the radiator and trans cooler when I install the Full Race IC. Plus when you buy a radiator you get the trans cooler half off and free shipping.

yep/ the FR trans coolers is more than double the size of the factory cooler. make sure you get an extra quart of atf when you do the swap.

I am stoked you appreciate the work that went into this. Our team spent a ton of time and effort before releasing the raptor radiator. We initially went through three core suppliers and major revisions before we were 100% confident to start production. one final simple change made at the end of last year was adding vertical core straps (to help keep the cooling system intact if a headgasket started to fail). The good news is we've received >0< back for defects / failures thanks for your feedback, it means a lot

totally - its a lot easier in the long run to tackle all three in one shot

Hey Geoff,

I’m Cam’s friend. Thanks for the input. I’m hoping to make the order today or over the weekend so I can install everything next weekend. Once that’s done Cam will put the truck on the dyno again and do his magic. I just stenciled the IC.
