What's a crap shoot is having anyone besides yourself or Ford assemble it. As good as Livernois may be, they can't stay in business spending the time that an individual would carefully assembling an engine. The only person who will put together a engine with better quality than Ford is the actual owner of the engine.

That said, they are plenty of shops out there who build race engines that can build up anything you want, for a large price, and it'll be 100% quality work. You will absolutely pay through the nose for it though. BES is local to me and they build damn near anything, and it's always built right.

I would agree with that to a point....if the owner has no idea how to build an engine (like myself) I probably shouldn't try and learn on a high performance one. But I will say that most things in life are that way. I've been able to build tunes for my old 7.3 diesel better than any of the many I've bought over the years, but it has taken me a very long time to learn and experiment!

Agreeded - But not all of us have or have access to the equipment - Myself included. Line boring, proper decking, properly ground valve angles, balancing, ECT,ECT, ECT. Assembling an engine is easy - Annal retentiveness and The details are what counts and make it live a longer life. Hell, I had 10 hours alone just welding up and contouring a combustion chamber that was damaged because I dropped a valve. Not a 6.2 and my fault - it seams i have difficulty picking the right gear. I had to match it to the 3 other cylinders. Would have been nice if It had already been C&C programed by someone else. I had to do it by hand PIA. But I'm poor.
There are many competent engine builders but few who specialize in the 6.2 platform Not popular - doesn't mean they Kan't assemble one for you from over the counter or custom parts. You usually get what you pay for but this is the internet so 85%+ is all BS typed by couch potatoes.

Of course you have to have the knowledge and tools, but it's all there for the taking if someone wants to learn.

Time is the biggest cost to doing it- quality measuring tools and a degree wheel can be had for under $500.

I'm talking about simply assembling the engine, not doing any of the machine work.

Assembling the motor is easy - as you know - knowing what needs to be done to it first is the key.
The same same mentality / no insult intended / can be used for all the process, machining, relieving, squaring ECT.
I assembled a motor 3 years ago that took 6 connecting rods - stock- to get 4 to balance the same but I am very annal retentive. A little 2rz motor for a Toyota beater. I was surprised.
Sorry Op to take this off topic. I hope you find an engine.

I just hit the 100,000 mile club with a boosted 6.2 and have already started to look for options for when that day comes. I like my truck a lot and would like to keep it, but know there will be an expiration date..lol
I found MMR does a shortblock build with all Manley internals and a warranty as an option. I dont know much about them, but they have been around for a bit. https://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/cart/

As for scraping the "boat anchor" like robert125 suggests..lol Dude, give yer head a shake. The Eco-Poop doesn't have a thing on a supercharged 6.2L.. Trust me

You CLEARLY have no IDEA what goes into a build at livernois.
It’s insane the attention to detail. INSANE. Ford is mass produced with barely any care on the line. Save for the SVT/ford gt line of hand assembled engines.... which the raptor did not receive.
The time and detail Livernois spends on a build is silly, I would also lick the floor of the build rooms during a build.
Don’t throw stones. When you haven’t seen, experienced or witnessed what your throwing stones at .
