Hey guys I'm looking for anyone who's interested in getting engine work done to their 6.2L. I'm a professional performance engine builder out of Virginia interested in developing an engine program for these trucks. I have direct relationships with some of the biggest names in the game such as Diamond Pistons, Manley Performance, Ferrea Valves, etc. I'd love to offer services to anyone interested and at a discounted rate! I've developed many engine programs over the years that have held up reliably under high boost applications as well as all motor set ups. Please check out my Instagram page for some of the work I produce on a daily basis.(https://www.instagram.com/cdawsonvpm/) Looking forward to any possible inquiries, thank you. Hi Chris, I have a 2013 SCREW 70k miles. Dealer telling me I need a new engine or upper rebuild. Is this something you'd be interested in?

Yea I can help you with whatever the engine would need. I'm guessing they haven't actually been inside the engine, hard to diagnose that with a borescope. Also, where are you located?

Hey Chris checked out your Instagram and shop looks good.
There are several higher mileage Raptor guys on here looking to freshen up their powerplants. Im running a TVS 2300 supercharger with custom tune, and know that I will need to start planning for a fresh bottom end at some point.
My question is: have you done many of the Raptor specific 6.2L rebuilds? I know Manley makes a forged rotating assembly, but does anyone offer a stroked crank other than Livernois?

No need for a stoker with a TVS blower on there IMO. It's less reliable setup with the increased side loading of the cylinder and piston. The pulley ratio of the PD blower will 99% determine how much power it makes anyways. A 2.3L TVS will make the same power at the same blower impeller RPMs no matter what the displacement of the engine is, only the boost level will vary.

If it was a centrifugal blower, or turbo, or N/A then yeah, the extra displacement would matter- but with a PD blower, it'll simply lower the boost level a little bit while making the same amount of power. Basically everything after the PD blower makes very little difference. It'll cram that air through no matter what is downstream (within reason). What is WAY more important is eliminating all inlet restrictions, PD blowers are extremely sensitive to inlet restrictions. You want a big TB, big MAF, inlet tubes and filters.

Thanks Eric, so I would be better off building a forged bottom on stock specs, and upgrading to a 2650 if I wanted to push it harder.

In my opinion, yes. The stock displacement bottom end will take more abuse and live longer.

I'd like to hear what Cody thinks about it.

What compressor you choose really comes down to much much power you plan to make. You want the compressor to operate at the sweet spot of it's efficiency. Since the compressor efficiency maps are held close to the vest, it's not an easy choice. Bigger is usually not a bad choice, assuming you don't go massively oversized. A 2.7L blower would be just fine on a 6.2L engine.

Dragged out the old links from the 03 Cobra stuff-
Here's a calculator put together for the 2003 Cobra guys, but it'll work fine for you as well. You can use this to properly size your MAF, TB, injectors, etc.
https://www.modularfords.com/thread...flow-rate-calculator-for-a-4-stroke-IC-engine

Put in 378 CID instead of 281 and look at the boost level you plan to run. That'll tell you how many CFM is going into the engine. So at 10 lbs of boost, the blower is cramming 1000 CFM into the engine at 6000 RPMs. You want a TB is is designed to flow at least 1000 CFM, a MAF that can measure that with some headroom etc... It's not exact, but close enough for sizing those things.

Here's the technical explanation behind "nothing after the blower really matters"

Eric is correct about a stroker crank being unnecessary, stock crank will handle at least 800+ horsepower as the factory cranks are getting very strong. Forged piston/ rod combo will be a must if you want a significant power increase and keep it reliable. I'd also recommend going with a valve and valve spring upgrade as it seems to be a weak point in the valvetrain for these engines. Going with a oem MLS head gasket with head studs would be a great idea as well. O-ringing the decks would be a great option but may also be overkill for low boost. To create a reliable platform while making a moderate amount of boost, the little details become very important such as ring gap, cylinder bore preparation, valve seat sealing, bearing clearances, and the list goes on and on.

With a stock 6.2 and a 2.3 roush stage 2 590hp. How reliable will that be for longevity? I want to pull the trigger on a supercharged raptor but I'm afraid of how reliable it will be considering it's out of warranty.
