Haven't seen anyone post about this yet, but just noticed today that when boost pressure gets up around 4 psi or higher, the engine oil pressure jumps to the 50s and 60s instantly. i assume its meant to do that due to some fancy oil pump these engines have?? just want to make sure this is normal. truck is a 2019 with 400 miles BTW. thanks, Matt.

Matt it is interesting to watch. At lower boost I run in the mid 20s, and the there is a pretty good jump like you are talking about. The move isn’t linear, it is a jump and also a drop. The info the 2019s provide is entertaining and informative.

It's normal, mine does the same thing. I've configured my 2 center gauges to be vac/boost on the left and oil pressure on the right. The gauges are remarkably responsive.

variable pressure oil pump that is computer controlled. i think its kind of screwy, but yeah, working as designed.

Anybody know where oil pressure reading is coming from? Oil pump? Somewhere on the block?[/]

Right near the oil filter. With any design forthought it should be just before the intake to the filter.
